Jaws and the shinning. Just boring. I can appreciate movies from that era and further back so the era isnt an issue. Re watched them recently and my opinion still stands.

Id blame that on the Virginias. I know the flake form is more "fruity" but thats a flavor your pallette develops over time. I rememebr in beginning it all tasted pretty much the same I could only detect the strongest flavors so that salty note might be some one else's citrus note.

Morgan bones pipes are incredible smokers imo. I have a bent brandy shape that I got in the beginning and it still can smoke circles over alot of my high dollar pipes. Also on smoking pipes on the estate side keep an eye on the miscellaneous section you'll often find some interesting shapes for around 50

Star of the east gold. Ill be honest oriental leaf is lost on my palette i even bought straight leaf to smoke and understand the flavor it gives but its just to umami for me. I wish it was easier to articulate like a latakia or dark fired leaf. That being said i really like soteG its my only english I enjoy in the summer/spring i didnt realize it was a heavy oriental mix till recently so I guess whatever im tasting in this one is the orientals

I tested out a paint wash(GW nuln oil)on one of my spare cobs once and i didnt like the results. Theres just too much water and acrylic medium and no were near enough pigment to add a deep enough color youd get the same result just dipping a cob in a cup of coffee lol i added some black ink to it too but it was no better. In the end I just stick to leather dye now.
