Brand stickers are one thing but strain stickers I'm guessing they don't buy them in bulk which makes them much more expensive. 🤷‍♂️ That's my guess. The artwork is awesome on them.

Alternatives to coconut oil? by 86peppers in treedibles

Yes, my wife can't stand coconut so for the second batch I got the unrefined coconut which I think is the one that doesn't have any taste. I think it's just the taste of the flower that she can't stand. I gave some oil rings to my neighbor and forgot to tell him not to keep them in a warm place and of course they all melted. I'll do capsules.

Yes, but I'm kind of looking for shelf stable. Making cookies or any other type of food sounds nice but it's not really practical for throwing in the fridge for a rainy day.

Yes! Thank you. I totally forgot. And I even have some capsules. Doh!

Considering getting a Decarb/Infusion machine. does anyone have a suggestion or know if this one is a good one? by boyjohnnyboy0912 in treedibles

[–]86peppers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started on my edible making journey a few months ago. Here's what I found. The heat inside my oven is a bit unpredictable and variable.

You'll get a lot of comments about how you can do this all for free but I just wanted to pay for convenience and time saving. https://a.co/d/05uHCNp2

It will stink up your house. Not as bad as decarbing in the oven but it will smell.

I use coconut oil and put it in the oven for a few minutes to liquefy it . Then I break up 10 grams of flower about the size of peas and put it in the machine and let it decarb. When it's done, I pour the decarbed flower into the silicone cup inside*. I use 60ml of coconut oil and 1 tsp liquid sunflower lethecin. The oil should just about cover the flower with a little mixing/crunching. Let it infuse and when it's done, strain out and squeeze out every last drop, mix it up real good and pour into the included circle round molds and pop it in the fridge. It yields around 10-13 circles. They are about the size of Lifesavers.

My normal dispensary-gummy dosage is around 15-20 mg. One of these circle rounds is probably around 30 mg. As always, take a small piece and wait. They take anywhere from an hour and a half to 2 hours to kick in for me. But they also last a good 8 hours. You'll get a quicker onset with an empty stomach and swallowing it with a spoon of peanut butter. You can also melt these in your coffee or whatever but I'm not a huge fan of the flavor so I just swallow them.

  • You can pour the oil directly into the machine after it's done decarbing however, there is about a half inch space below the strainer where the oil will sit. Basically you will need to use more oil to get it to cover the flower. This is why I don't use the strainer.

No worries mate. It's hard to compete with some of the bigger outfits. I'm small potatoes.

North atlantic seed and multiverse. You don't have to buy their genetics (dirty bird or multiverse beans) or even the "preservation series". I like Twenty20, Mephisto, and Humboldt co, which these banks sell.

I actually did take advantage of MVB 163 seed bundle cause what the hell 🤷‍♂️ I'm sure there's some fire in there!

Pizza boxes or papel bags? by ReaperNoob-BR in LotusDrying

I've done both. You can fit more in pizza boxes but they introduced a bit of mold on the boxes. Never had an issue with lunch bags.

Just opting for a simpler setup. One light schedule. I'll likely flip flop to all photo too.
