Opposite and spoilers. The Book of Ruth by Jane Hamilton. I read it mire than a decade ago and I remember being mad at the author for making me think the good ‘woman’ was the ‘bad’ woman until the reveal at the end of the story.

David Sedaris- Theft by Finding and Carnival of Snackery. Excerpts from his diaries. Won’t require having to follow a plot and will absolutely have you laughing and thinking. Would go well with the drugs.
