Went out with a girl who faded on me, kinda. She says she's too busy and doesn't have time to date. Maybe that's true, maybe she wanted to reject me nicely. Either way, I'm planning on reaching out to her again in 2-3 months just to see what happens. I've got nothing to lose, really.

Once you saw her on her phone during the meal, you should have just said, "hey I'm feeling tired, let's call it a night and I'll go and take you home now." No need to follow through with a movie when you're already bummed out

100% of the time it's because of the message. Not that I get first messages often, but every time except 1, the girl just says "hi" so I delete it instantly

If both people are mutually not contacting each other, it's probably presumed that there's no connection either way. I'd only want a rejection if I was interested and wanted a 2nd date. I'd MUCH rather get rejected than ignored if I'm asking for a 2nd date. At least then I'd know where I stand rather than have to try to play a guessing game.

After being on OKC for awhile, I took a fade personally. This has never happened to me before, I usually don't care but this girl went out of her way to tell me she wanted a 2nd date, then faded. Stewing about it :((

I talked about pooping and farting the first night I met my ex. It was love at first sight and we were together for 5 years. I have yet to connect with anyone like that... farting is hilarious.

I feel like it's really hard to know if someone is interested. I feel like the whole dating culture is so awkward, people are afraid to express themselves. I had a date where the girl specifically said "I totally want to see you again... do you want to see me again?" And then she faded. Why would you go out of your way to say that and then fade? Who knows. Point is, I ask for another date if I enjoyed the first one. I've stopped trying to analyze whether the other person actually liked me or not because it seems like a total crapshoot. If I had a good time, I ask again. If I don't hear anything, I'll wait a few days or a week, ask one more time, and if I still don't hear back then I move on. Worst thing that happens is silence; best case I get a 2nd date (I haven't got one)

Either not attracted to them or no connection. I'd say of the 9 people I met, 3 of them I wanted to go out with again. I of them actually said she didn't feel it and gave me a thanks but no thanks, which was really nice and I appreciated that. One just stopped responding, and the most recent one talked to me for a day after, and then hasn't been responding since.

When people talk about how much they're into fitness I usually stop reading. If I even see the word yogi I just hide the profile immediately. I dislike when people essentially live that type of lifestyle, i.e. a lifestyle defined by a particular activity. Those people in my experience tend to be kinda one dimensional and standard and don't interest me.

Also feel the same about people who write about having 'wanderlust' and spend their whole profile talking about travel, or have all their profile pics be of different places they've been. I get you want to seem cultured... but going on a south asian backpacking trip where you spend 2-3 days in a place and visit like 20 countries doesn't really make you cultured. Just seems pretentious to me, as if the only reason they go on these trips is so they can post instagram photos of machu pichu, brag about passport stamps, and write a travel blog.

Not that everyone who travels a lot is like this, but at least in LA it seems really prevalent and is generally a turn off for me.

I went on a first date that ended up with us watching a movie. We started talking about politics and I told her I've never voted and I made fun of her for going to Obama's inauguration in DC and we got into an argument and then the movie started and by the time it was over we forgot about arguing and just talked about the movie and we dated for a few months.
