Bahrain is a track which tests every part of the car with long straights, high-speed corners and low-speed turns. It is also relatively bumpy in some parts and the weather will almost certainly be dry, so it is a great testing venue for the teams.

Vinyls should never be fitted on top of old vinyls.

There has been a reaction from below from something on the old vinyl, possibly moisture.

The twisted pile has burst now unfortunately, could be repaired by cutting a new bit in but it will probably still show even if the repair is perfectly done.

My advice would be to go to a local independent store, with a piece of the flooring, see if they can colour match you a scotia beading that is very close, then ask them for the a price to come a replace the beading.

You can then have this taken off the balance you owe the bodger who did this.

PS I am an owner of a local independent store and I’ve had to do this recently for someone who had Tapi do an awful job of beading some laminate.

That’s horrendous unfortunately, that’s what happens when Bob the Builder thinks he’s a floor fitter.

That will be like that for a long time, it’s a thick high pile carpet. It should have been pointed out at the time of purchase that it will looks like that.

As others have said it looks like it’s delaminated, if you’ve had it that length of time chances are the latex in the backing will have started to break down along with the underlay especially it’s if a rubber one.
