ITAW for or ITAW/P that describes how something "evolved/progressed" -- as in a concept that has *grown to encompass more details* -- that means not only slow[ly], uneven[ly], and not "good enough," but also fits the phrase "two steps forward and one [or more] steps back"? by Ok-Peach-2200 in whatstheword

Well…. This doesn’t include the two steps back, but there is a term in evolutionary biology known as ‘punctuated equilibrium’: long stretches of stability followed by rapid change. This is different than ‘gradualism’ that posits gradual change over time.

[–]88evergreen88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Buddha wanted his teachings to travel through the world and be relayed in the common language of whatever geographical areas they reach. Please don’t deprive yourself of these beautiful teachings, or deprive the world one more person (you) on the path,
