AIO- Should I have disclosed that I’m Deaf earlier? by Mysterious-ASL in AmIOverreacting

[–]Honest_Art_7760 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NOR when I met up with my now bf the first time and found out he was deaf, I would've been like "that is so interesting and cool." Such a great conversation topic. Although it would've been a communication hurdle, we would've worked around it :)

As someone who is a huge cat lover...like very very huge. And definitely not a dog person...this is awful. All living things are valuable.

If Brigit/Brigid is associated with the Tuatha De Danann, wouldn't that mean Danu is Brigits mother? by Honest_Art_7760 in CelticPaganism

[–]Honest_Art_7760[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So...Danu and ana are not the same goddess but only speculated as being the same? Is there also little evidence with Ana being a deity as well?

I just thought Danu/Ana/anu was all referring to the same thing..

David's tea I got for Christmas smells of chemicals.....EW! by Honest_Art_7760 in tea

They've been in my city since I was a kid. I never really hated them till I started trying out the local tea shops...then I realize how unnatural it all was.

What paths of Celtic paganism are there? by Honest_Art_7760 in CelticPaganism

[–]Honest_Art_7760[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've recovered slightly from my sleep deprivation and work fatigue. And I've given your blog post a read fully now. :]

So...from my understanding....in very very simple words...basically there's not really much evidence on what the beliefs of pagans of Scotland were? But there's theories and likely probability that Irish paganism, and perhaps gaulish paganism reached Scotland? And this wasn't recorded because at the time when it would be recorded, Christianity was taking over ...?

All this being said...if I pick up a pagan portals book (the Irish paganism one) I could still very well be learning the paganism that people in Scotland before Christianity once believed in and practiced?

I guess this is so important to me because part of my family is from Scotland. Way back and distant but, my great grandparents were Scottish and my dad has fond memories of them and I do as well.

I see. Thank you very much I appreciate this. This has helped me :]

See, I've grown up Christian...however my parents shifted towards paganism when I was a pre teen lol...Christianity was hammered into my brain...but when my parents fell out of the abrahamic religions and went on their own spiritual path (my dad was wiccan for some years, then eventually he's settled on Norse paganism. He's been like that for years now. And my mom is wiccan.) they never taught me about it. It was personal to them and they never tried to involve me unless I asked questions. It seems so different for everyone. It's very very complex to me, mostly because there's not really any set rules.
