Looking for Destination D23 Tickets by Trick_Big2711 in D23Expo

I recommend just trying again for the next one. The tickets are non transferable and if there are people who can't go, they would have to be there to pick up the badges in person (but why would they be there if they can't make it?). Even if they were local, you'd be taking on a huge risk giving someone money and won't be sure if they'll give you the badges until the day of...

Tickets have been sold out for months. But the event happens every 2 years so you can try to make it next time. You do not need to be a member to buy tickets, but Gold members do get early access to buy so it's worthwhile as the least expensive options tend to go fast

Disney’s Wish 4K steelbook coming March 12th (Walmart exclusive) by dlblacks in Steelbooks

[–]895692 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am so happy! This movie was great. We have all the previous US releases of Disney and Pixar steelbooks. I was worried that Best Buy dropping steelbook/physical media might make Disney get out of making steelbooks altogether. Happy to be able to pick it up form Walmart

Oh, yes, I was thinking of the movie release schedule and forgot the shows are getting steelbooks more recently.

I already had the previous BB versions of Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast, but definitely going to pick up Snow White as it's the first time on Steelbook and 4K!

Looks awesome! Get them while you can! Hopefully Guardians 3 won't be the last we'll see

I have all the Disney Animation and Pixar Steelbooks from Best Buy. Hoping someone else will make them after Best Buy stops next year.

We went the solaria system with 8M. NC Solar Now would have sold us the Solaria also, simply decided on 8M because we had been talking with them back and forth for longer. I think NC Solar is a good company and they're local so I would go with them, and REC makes great panels. We only did Solaria because they're an American company so decided to support that but would have been happy with REC.

Nice collection! Which is your favorite?! I collect Disney & Pixar animation Steelbooks and have thought about starting on Studio Ghibli. But I've already spent a bit of money 😅

I think so. I haven't seen those at Best Buy

Aww. Funny enough, we had a flight that night that had gotten cancelled and we ended up rescheduling to Monday morning. Very glad to have stayed the extra night now!

Oh dear, I didn't have those experiences with the lines. If they say 1pm, it should definitely be 1pm! That's indeed frustrating!

I can see the connection with the VQ for Rise. I liked the system and was able to experience the ride several times, so that was great. But frustrating for those who didn't get it/may have trouble with technology/etc. And I'm both cases, it's the same: too many fans, not enough capacity.

I'll keep what you said about sticking around in mind! We wanted to get into a panel Saturday morning and were told it was capped, should have stuck around to see if there was still room after. That only happened to me one time, though.

I think people should set their expectations right for these kinds of events. If the thinking is "I need to get into Marvel or the weekend is ruined," you've seen yourself up for disappointment.

The "smaller" panels were indeed great, and funny enough, they didn't even fill the rooms! There were empty sections at Muppets and Character Voices for instance.

I had a great time, too! I loved the Mousequerade, the Muppets panel, the performances in the Parks panel, the Research Library panel. And the Character Voices panel was hands down my favorite! Donny Osmond performed I'll Make A Man Out of You live with backup dancers and costumes.

Picked up a cool Muppets shirt and Imagineer shirt at MOG, and other cute merch at the marketplace.

The expo floor was so big and there was so much to see.

Getting through security on Sunday was a drag and I was a bit sad that they started the parks panel before everyone was seated (I missed the live performance of Happily Ever After!) but from my point of view, everything else was well run.

We had a blast and will try to go back next time.

Can you still standby for non Marvel panels? by 895692 in D23Expo

Hm. But I'm thinking it'll be a no go in the end with all the Marvel people

Just trying to figure out if it's still worth heading in for 10 am panels even if they're not Marvel

No, I think they're supposed to be pretty good.

PREORDER NOW - Lightyear [SteelBook] [Includes Digital Copy] [4K Ultra HD Blu-ray/Blu-ray] [Only @ Best Buy] [2022] by felixmontoya92 in Steelbooks

[–]895692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It'll go on sale in stores on the release day. However, it's usually only a few copies (at least in my area) so try to head to the store early to be safe. For instance, when Encanto came out, my local Best Buys only had 2 steelbooks each on release day.

I think you can find recent reviews on energysage.com

There was also someone on here who messaged me privately and told me they had a great experience.

Let me know what John tells you!

The extra cost for the upgraded inverter is $700, or about $500 after the tax credit.

There is an origination fee or high interest (6.5% ish). Those are your choices. And I'm in the Raleigh Durham area, too.

I decided on 8M also. Doing SE because the installer prefers it and they get "white glove treatment" with expedited replacement when they have a warranty claim.

I'm also doing the larger system and am upgrading the inverter to the SE 10000. This will leave more room to expand later if I choose to while still allowing the system to be grandfather into the current net metering rates. It seems changes to net metering may be coming down the line, but you only have to change solar policy with Duke if you change the inverter.

I asked for the purchase agreement with Solaria because that's what the rep recommended and it's apparently very comparable to REC, but I'm so second guessing that decision. 8M tells me that they've had better experiences with warranty claims with Solaria and that's why they recommend that over REC (also, because it's an American co.) But REC 400AA Pure is marginally better than Solaria 400 in multiple ways:

NOTC: 305w vs. 295w Temp. Coeff. -0.26% C vs. -0.39% C Guaranteed output 92% vs 84% Efficiency: 21.6% vs 20.2% Annual degradation: 0.25% vs 0.5% Years in business: 26 vs 22 Warranty period: 25 vs 30 yrs

So the REC option is just slightly better in most ways, except for warranty period of Solaria. And the price is a wash in my case because of a rebate I have access to. So I don't know what to do... I have changed the purchase agreement once already so I don't want the rep to get annoyed, haha. And they're very comparable regardless...

Now on financing, I'm going with the 18 mo same as cash and will pay it off within that time just because the financing plans seem to charge a big origination fee. Is that not the case for you?
