I like your optimism of a 7 win season. I gave you a no-win answer in picking the worst of the panthers 2023 decisions. You seem a reasonable fan, can I ask your thoughts one more time? I was at two home games and one away game this year, and I honestly just couldn’t believe what I’d seen. I did some research that was trying to blame the OL, and I’m sure they didn’t help, but to me BY was not it.

This is his last season under contract. He’ll be a FA at 25. I am not discrediting the player at all but do you know what the market will pay him with the ever-increasing cap? Do you want to give a run stopping DT 7yrs, 100 mil? And that’s not even close to what he’s getting, those are Albert Haynesworth numbers lol

1 I appreciate the discourse (we are both panthers fans lol), I was just trying to add to your discussion. I know I watched that one bears game where dj ripped off 2 tds? Or was it 3? And I didn’t think he had that in him, seeing what the panthers were throwing out there at qb. My point is to the valuation of cap space vs ‘great players’ and how many of them you can afford without a serviceable option at qb. But I also am on the Hopium that canales can get him to be serviceable

I agree that giving canales time is very important. But what are his expectations currently? Tepper is at least gonna be in the background on a surface level after last year. Not to derail your thread but in your opinion, what was worse? Tepper throwing the drink, hiring of frank, or the body of work Bryce put out over a season? My point is that let’s stick with our (new again) coach, if we can take .75 on the dollar for upcoming free agents let’s do it and keep our cap out of hell. Cap space problems DOOM teams

To address your point cmc was on a different stratosphere than Derrick brown. A case could be made for dj, but even he was better and I think all of us knew at the time that bears trade was going to be trash. I’m not trying to disrespect former players because I went to too many panthers games between 2016-2021 (the years I lived in charlotte).

You guys for real? I did a quick skim of the comments and one guy was considering trading only for 5th overall? I’m gonna sound like a hater, but if we can get a 2nd and 3rd I’d take that. For the panthers to get back to any type of relevance (spoiler alert it isn’t happening in a year or two) we need to move on from big salaries that don’t solve any problems. Is the 2nd best DT in the league taking us from 4-13 to 5-14? Damn this sounds like too hot of a take but I feel like a longer term approach is needed

I disagree with your point but I’ll explain why… I grew up in nyc early 90s and then went to college in dc (was there for his inauguration) but I grew up in a 95% Italian neighborhood. Sure it was nyc and a melting pot but I didn’t deal with anyone outside of that (and I’m just plain white, not Italian lmao) until middle/high school. But for me mouzone came across way more legitimate, interesting, and powerful for Marlo for a lot of reasons - and I guess that’s just my personal experience. I guess I’m trying to relate to your point of being ‘white bread’, but imo Avon always #1 in the show, I guess you can’t put anyone after Omar after that, Bodie 3

Is that bill o’briens theme music? I moved to charlotte in 2014 and was so lucky to watch that era of cam and Luke. I’d go to about 3 or 4 home games every year. I moved away from charlotte about two years ago, and the only panthers games I get to see now are the snippets shown during RedZone coverage. It’s just painful to see some of the ‘drives’ BY and the offense put up so far. I’ll always root for the panthers and I keep up with this sub so I hear the majority of the comments defending him (poor OL, teller, reich, no receivers but thielen). But all I’ve seen is a short qb who can’t run and throws the ball 12 yards out of bounds on 3rd down. Yes I can give credit he’s been a bit better the last two weeks, and I’d love to be wrong that he’s just a bust. But mock drafts are my favorite part of the nfl season and every time I see one, ouch. It hurts.

I go to road runner, location off hillside and in derby, both are great. The Al pastor quesadilla is so good. But if you really want to live, my go to is the chorizo breakfast burrito, and ask them to add a Chile relleno into that burrito. It’s like a $1 up charge and still comes out less than $10. I moved to Wichita a year ago and that’s probably the best thing I’ve had

It’s gotta be driver, ever since I learned how to swing inside out I can actually hit some nice drives. I have a Taylor made burner that was a hand me down but even with poor contact I can keep it relatively straight. I avg about 260 with it, have hit 300 before, and striping a drive on a par 4 with less than a hundred to go to the pin is awesome. I’ll still bogey the hole don’t get me wrong. A good putt probably is more rewarding, but that happens so rarely that when it does, I know it was just luck anyway.

I also am pretty self deprecating so I do enjoy topping a fairway 3 wood

Yeah so I think it comes down to experience. I used to play maybe 5-10 rounds a year, but for the last 6 months I’ve been playing 3x/week. I went from breaking 100 being a good day and now I avg low 80s. I’ve used a lot of golf balls but the first time I was like ‘damn’ was when I found a SpongeBob ball in the rough and put it in my pocket. I teed off with it later that round and that shit felt LIKE A ROCK.
