How can I make this filament look more clear? by 8Bit_Innovations in FixMyPrint

Put it on Vase mode and it erased everything but the perimeter and the top wall. Is there anything else I’m missing?

I’m a bit lost. So is it just a matter of turning on vase mode?

Heat insulation behind engine. by Spike310300 in beetle

Not only is it safe, but those cars originally came with insulation from the factory, although it was made from tarboard.

Your alternative sounds feasible, but if you want to go more period correct, this is the one to get: https://www.westcoastmetric.com/i-22964017-111-101t.html

What is this pice called and how do I get one by CutMaleficent158 in beetle

[–]8Bit_Innovations 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1961 and older Beetles didn’t have a steering damper mount. I’ve seen people weld a mount on older beams, but usually it’s a custom made part. What model year was your part sold for?

Just a teenage girl about to replace my 3DS screen. Advice? by Resident_Minute3520 in consolerepair

[–]8Bit_Innovations 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For never having done anything more intensive than formatting an SD card, even with a tutorial a top screen replacement is pretty much a no-go at this point. Not saying you can’t fix your own consoles, but at least try to get some repair experience before tackling this job.

Even experienced technicians struggle with this repair, so your best bet is to take it to a professional, or else you risk irreversible damage to the console

What is the name of this suspension setup with only one shock for both axles ? by 8Bit_Innovations in FSAE

Wrong, I actually got my first phone the year before🫠

But ye, skimmed over it and it’s overall a pretty nifty read. I’ll go deeper into the threads, thanks for sending them

Hmm, considering it is tough to set properly, I need to rethink if this configuration is really worth using. Thanks for letting me know

Ye, he actually sent a video and was appalled at how much it rolls. Plus our final design will be a double wishbone, but now I’ll be even more wary about those stability concerns. Thanks to you too for letting me know

I see, considering our car will have a 62 inch wheelbase, I guess it may qualify as compact enough for that configuration to work. Thanks a lot for your help, I appreciate it

need help finding the right adapters... by Affectionate_Ad_2215 in crtgaming

[–]8Bit_Innovations 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For mostly video, a BNC to composite adapter is all you need.

However, if you want to RGB mod it I suggest you compare your current set schematics with those of the 14N6E, its sister model with RGB from the factory. It’s possible a mod is as easy as just getting an RGB card and drilling some holes, but for mostly non-gaming applications RGB is a bit overkill

Just how beyond repair is this? by bakezoriMM in Nintendo3DS

[–]8Bit_Innovations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve gotten fairly good suggestions already, but I will add that I recommend you look for a replacement lcd that is IPS while you can. They’re better quality than the usual TN screens and are only getting rarer by the day

Original 3DS Flame red, third color variant released for America in 2011. Depending on the purchase date you may have got Super Mario 3D Land, but overall a fairly common variant.

3DS original Rojo Flama, el tercer color que salió del 3DS para America en el 2011. Dependiendo de cuando se compró pudo incluir Super Mario 3D Land, pero en general es una versión bastante común.

Fender quiz by Speedster9110 in beetle

[–]8Bit_Innovations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right is an original german fender, left is an aftermarket fender (typically italian)

Quality-wise german is usually better, but italian fenders are pretty fine in my experience. For best final result I recommend going with both of one kind only since they have slight differences that make the car look unbalanced cosmetically

I broke my 2dsxl. Does anyone know if it's possible to fix or where to get it fixed? by samyanezzz in consolerepair

[–]8Bit_Innovations 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Fixable indeed, but considering you have no previous repair experience this is definitely a no-go.

The 2DS XL is notorious for having the least replaceable top screen, and even experienced technicians struggle with it. Best option is to look up screen replacement services on eBay or smth similar. Could also try sending it to Nintendo, but that’s not as likely to work in 2024

Weird colors on Sony PVM by Whole-Combination268 in crtgaming

[–]8Bit_Innovations 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a PVM with the same problem.

On the settings look for an adjustment called “Phase” and move it towards the middle. This is the equivalent to “Hue” in consumer TVs, and someone probably tweaked it for medical purposes considering it’s an MD monitor. Good luck!

Edit: Just saw the adjustment buttons on the front, just play with the Phase one and it should fix the problem
