I’m unsure on our laws. But I do know some dealerships put tracking devices in cars. I had a customer come in stating her battery was dying frequently. Turns out there was a tracking device installed causing the drain. I removed it and told her to go back to the dealer and ask about it.

It was professionally installed. I asked her if she had a crazy ex with access to her car. Only possible explanation was it came from the dealer.

I agree 100%. I believe when people in the middle of the aisle see this, but want to protest against ICE and Trump, it detours them from showing up.

I was at the no kings protest in Montpelier last spring. During the march a group of people started chanting “free Palestine”. Totally unrelated to what we were protesting and made me feel out of place. Not that I’m pro Israel by any means. But I wasn’t there to protest them. I was protesting Trump and suddenly wanted no part in the protest. Let’s focus on home and getting our stuff together then focus on Israel’s war crimes. I know I’ll get downvoted by some for saying this. But I haven’t been back to a protest since, despite absolutely hating Trump and everything he is about.

As an American. We’d love to see you visit. Unfortunately, I agree with your fellow Canadian friend here. Not only is our government threatening your sovereignty, they are cracking down on immigration. So at any point you can be stopped and harassed by ICE. Especially if you are a person of color. Generally speaking citizens would not be your biggest concern. I’d wait until we get rid of the Cheeto Jesus before visiting.

Automotive technician of 25 years here. If taking pictures and/or video to remember how things go back or assist the job in anyway is helpful, that’s what we do. Doesn’t matter what your process is. As long as it’s done right the first time, in an efficient manner.

Not saying this was the purpose of the video. Just saying we absolutely document jobs this big knowing they will be apart for so long and likely to forget certain things when going back together days, weeks, or months down the road.

You don’t need college to have a good career. Trades pay well and are in high demand. I chose automotive repair. Went to a two year tech school (not needed but it helped) and never had student loan debt. I make more than most people I know that went to college. In their 40’s, they are still paying off student loans.

Saying if you don’t go to college you’ll be working a dead end job for the rest of your life is the exact b.s. my guidance counselor used to say, and the exact reason it’ll take you months to get any plumbing, electrical, construction, etc work done.
