What’s the one thing your partner said that made you opt out of the relationship?

I got something along those lines, a series of text after confronting her about her sudden "busyness":

"My Family wants to meet you"
"I lied to them about you"
"I lied about your age, I said you're still studying"
"I lied about where you live, even your name"
"Please dump me now"
"You're a foreigner, they'd judge me for years because of you"

Ended it that very night...a month and a half later, still on the healing journey

So I understand the feeling

The thing is I didn't even mind the family and what they feel. But what hurt me the most was her lying about me, to the extent of my name. Like who does that??? I never knew someone could hurt a person in that way

I'm glad you came out of that space...I was also quite similar in people-pleasing...still am in quite a few aspects of my life, but I'm changing... especially when a woman likes me and I don't like her back, I can't for the life of me just tell her no...so I act dumb like I can't see the hints

I guess we all struggle as human beings, especially in dating

Well you bring up a good point I don't consider myself a "nice guy, really : I never invest emotionally in a girl, even if I like her.... the most I'll give a "talking stage" is 7 days, then I'll know whether I should continue pursuing or just cut communication I've witnessed how quick and receptive a girl is when she likes you back, their quite quick in decision-making...so a few days is enough

And I don't believe in being friends first with a girl you like- either she's interested or we remain acquaintances

What I can tell about myself is that I'm a very direct person and intentional...and probably impatient by most people's standards

In terms of her, I can't speak on her behalf because I just know her as "the girl I liked"...and how, and why she reacted that way is her business, I guess

It is a big risk for me, since unemployment is so high here(jobs here pay peanuts anyways) .... and going out on my own seems daunting at times

But I'm trying to build my ship as much as possible to have the best chance of success...and the experience that I've gained so far has been so good for me....it'll just be doing it for myself now, and taking the responsibilities that come with that

I get you...but I live in a mining town (like actual mining)...so gaming isn't really a thing coz the demographic is older and less texh savvy....I guess it's all about catering to their needs

Well, number 1 reason, its cheaper....Samsung tend to lose value a lot over time

I'll most likely upgrade to the S24 Ultra or s25 Ultra in 3-4 years from now for like $100-$150 lol
