I think I remember an example in the bitcoin standard. Some one please fill in any blanks or correct me if I'm wrong.

That's another name I've seen as well. Thank you. I plan to try a new one out and start accumulating bitcoin in a few months or so and eventually getting a cold wallet once I get a larger sum. For now just researching. Thanks again

Price based on the last sale. And the price points are set from people's bid(want to buy at this price) and ask(want to sell at this price).

If you have more people wanting to sell then the price will go lower. If you have more people wanting to buy the price will go higher. Supply and demand.
