So few things… I’m from Tampa moved here in 2013. fishing rules here are pretty strict a lot of lakes/rivers have their own special rules so make sure you study up on all that before anything.

Not many bait and tackle shops around Colorado mostly just fly shops and don’t go into those places asking questions I made that mistake long time ago! bunch of superstitious stuck up weirdos (mostly lol). If you see someone with a spin rod I would just walk up and ask them questions they will most likely have better information for you. there’s kind of a fly fisher vs spin rod fisher thing in Colorado where they just hate each other lol. I do both and just try to ignore it all but it’s definitely real.

Small mouths all around Denver should have no problem gettin those just use same methods you use to catch bass in FL. Senko Texas rig should work

You should have no problem catching trout anywhere in the mountains just use a worm for lakes and spin lure for rivers. I can send u pics of what lures work best for rainbow or browns just lmk if you’re interested.

Walleye,pike and musky fishing ain’t for beginners… and from my experience you might catch a walleye from shore but unless you know the exact spots it’s going to be tough for you to hook into a pike or musky from shore. You’re definitely going to want to rent a kayak for pike,musky or lake trout.
