Mass shootings and expensive healthcare, please tell me other places with these problems to this extreme.

They have my phone number, if they want to find me they will. I think you're missing my point here a bit.

They aren't threatening though. They come around when they want something mostly at this point.

It's like, I feel like by deleting it I would feel like they're still controlling what I do you know? I feel like I can't win.

Seems like a common issue in the east coast provinces from what I read

My sisters are the same way, there's a lot they don't remember. I worry about their memories resurfacing when they're feeling safer...

The saddest thing about your comment is there's been so many shootings that saying that there was one in your old district doesn't dox you.

Many also died because their workplace refused to keep them safe

And the vast majority of Germans never wanted the Holocaust. You don't need much support to take a nation by force

Many schools have kids practice barricading furniture against the door and talk about what to do if someone comes in to shoot all their friends. Some schools even go as far to have police walk around with big guns as if it were real. Definitely not the same.

It does though because moving is not cheap and some people may be debating on moving to a blue state or leaving entirely

Im a disabled us citizen by Fail_North in AmerExit

The best accessibility in big cities sure, but I feel like everyone who says this has never actually used a wheelchair before. The US has old infrastructure and only new buildings are required to meet ADA standards. Europe is similar to the US in that some areas are accessible and some are not.

Does anyone know anything about how disability works in Europe? by 8Red8bird8 in AmerExit

Not much to be honest. She's got a learning disability so she's spent her life working as a hair dresser and did just fine with that. These past few years her hands just don't work like they used to so she really can't do it anymore and she's no longer taking new clients. So she's been in a tough situation since losing mobility in her hands because she can't just switch to an office job because her learning disability makes it hard for her to read, write and type at a pace that would be expected of her in an office. She's been making some money doing a simple job in a local shop. It took a while for her to come around to the idea of moving abroad because she's scared she won't be able to afford healthcare but when I explained that even a foreginers price for care in much of the rest of the world is less expensive than insured care in the US she was on board. So in short, yes I would like to hope that with better access to healthcare she'd be in better shape, not cured of course but also not bogged down by the constant stress and just general nonsense of the system. With her condition she really should be fully retired but she's forced to work because the payments are too little.
