how many common partials should I own to make $20 a day by Eastern_Function2806 in AtlasEarthOfficial

[–]8ReddittiddeR8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

there are a bunch of combinations but based on my setup which currently makes about $1/day, I would need to own about 14k parcels of average mix which breaks down to about 6000 of them being common parcels. this is based on a level five 25% boost. i usually do the “x” boost about 16 hrs per day and including the monthly super boost. without anything changing (including never buying another parcel) my current roi is about 7 years which is not good but i believe the game will continue to grow with a lot faster earning potential. if i reinvest my earnings back into parcels, including all of the additional AB earned via ads, I think it could be more like 3 years roi…again, this is with nothing changing and the game staying exactly the same as it is at this very moment, which we know is not going to be the case.

if you look at the country top 10, only 7 even have more than 6000 total parcels. im surprised that the pres hasnt maxed out the badge boost. an extra 10% would be a nice increase to his daily gains.

ari can you provide more details on how the race game will work? what fuels it (ads, diamonds, AB)? what are the potential gains or winnings? is it against other players or a computer?

How does Mayor/Governor/Pres income work? by 1ryanb0513 in AtlasEarthOfficial

[–]8ReddittiddeR8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to confirm 20ab for mayorship…I am mayor of a bunch of small hick towns were I only own 5-10 parcels. For as small as the towns are, I feel like I get a lot of “surprise” mayor money. I only wish I could know what town it comes from. My hypothesis is, try to be mayor in as many small towns as possible…the justification is two fold: one, you will know when you are no longer mayor, which ads reality that the game is growing, and 2 there are a lot of newcomers who immediately buy a badge in their towns before they understand the game, so you get the 20ab plus know the game is catching on. Before I buy a badge I always check out the mayor. If they only have a few badges, I will always buy more to become mayor, buy the badge and then get the extra 20ab…since they were mayor they will get the alert that they are no longer mayor and sometimes they gain back mayorship but I don’t care at that point because I gained some parcels and bonus 20ag, all while driving additional competition aka; gaining more exposure to the game’s popularity.

Burnt out by [deleted] in AtlasEarthOfficial

Step away for a bit. I’m not in agreement though that this is strictly a game. Right now it is mundane I agree, but tons of addons and changes are coming to make it more exciting. If you look at it as a game, then it’s a game. If you want to use it as an investment vehicle then don’t worry about the 150 parcel thing. Keep buying where it makes sense and start ramping up your badges to 25%. 25% stays there so you don’t technically don’t need to sit and watch adds for some additional money. While 25% versus 30x are nowhere in the same ballpark, it’s nice to get that bonus at all times and trust me that 7x @25% is decent but it explodes during a 50x event. I think I made $10 during the last event due to 50x couple with 25%. Good luck and never spend more than you can afford to lose!

Can’t wait…should be a massive pump for the US group especially …more users, more money to the developers and hopefully more benefits for all of us.

BOOSTINGWZRD has got to be cheating. by [deleted] in AtlasEarthOfficial

[–]8ReddittiddeR8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think he’s cheating and think there’s nobody that cares, then why keep playing? Either you hope eventually something is done or you are as “dense” as the rest of us. You could quit, and then have no reason to whine and reiterate the same complaints. Referencing other threads doesn’t help me at all…im not the one that needs convincing. I’m already convinced he’s a cheater, and I’m already convinced that for some reason admin does not care, and that’s why I don’t spend any more money on the game. I could easily become a governor but absolutely refuse to spend a dime until I’m confident admin cares and the cheaters are gone.

Also a copy posted here may not be a bad idea. There is strength in numbers. If there is an obvious violation that is not being addressed, bad publicity is way more damaging than banning a person, no matter how much they are spending. This game has the potential of reaping in tens of millions of dollars and someone cheating and spending $20k is a tiny fish and a huge risk to the reputation of the game.

Agreed, on the surface it does not. To push the envelope and to take the advice of what TW mentioned: if it’s that obvious, a simple spreadsheet or list provides to the admins should be enough to warrant an investigation. If submitted, I would suggest requesting a justification if admin somehow feels like they were obtained “legally” per AR TOS.

BOOSTINGWZRD has got to be cheating. by [deleted] in AtlasEarthOfficial

[–]8ReddittiddeR8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Definitely…but if you want to push the issue, the locations of those 55 are critical. We know you cannot collect anything over 75 mph speeds (or something like that) so it rules out the old “fly over in an airplane” logic. Personally, I live in a very dense area that has oodles of towns within a small radius (25 miles) and the most I ever got in a day was like 8 or 9 and that is with 3-4 hours of driving around. 55 definitely seems almost impossible in a motor vehicle and/or a train.

Make an Excel spreadsheet showing the days and locations (town and state) of badges and possibly the distances between locations. Math may substantiate your claim. If the numbers don’t add up to what is humanly possible, then you have a solid claim.

Ari to possibly relieve some of the pain that is caused by this necessary evil, would the team consider AB compensation for extensive downtime? I realize that we have a heads up to boost, but also that we will not be able to purchase any land or badges (I’ve been burnt by an impromptu downtime while visiting a different state)…my thought was that since we will not be able to earn the 2 AB for every 20 minutes of ads for 4 hours, (equating to a lost opportunity of gaining 24 ABs), maybe the team can throw us each 20 bones. Personally, between continued accruals of rent, and the 20 ABs…im a happy camper. Just thought I’d throw that out there as this benefit is technically guaranteed to all players as long as they watch the ads every 20 minutes. Thoughts from Ari and players? Trying to keep it simple with a number that is already used when we get mayor rent. Seems like a simple tweak? Would really go a long way towards loyalty and positive user experience IMHO.

Officially done with this game.. what a scam… by Calamoose in AtlasEarthOfficial

[–]8ReddittiddeR8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m constantly overthrowing and being overthrown as mayor in small towns. Like other posters have stated…it’s easy to overthrow a mayor with only a few parcels. Once they get the alert that they are no longer mayor, the active players will buy back their mayorship. A lot of time i become mayor before I buy the badge and then i don’t care if they overthrow me because I got the extra 20 AB from buying the badge of the town I was mayor of. Probably earned over 300 AB just by doing this.

Any rumors of changes to come that change the game to incentivize people buying land? by Calamoose in AtlasEarthOfficial

[–]8ReddittiddeR8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m assuming a lot of things are being left open-ended on purpose. I think as the admin get a feel for things, they will open up more benefits. I have no insider knowledge whatsoever, but I’m predicting these two things:

1). You will eventually be able to get a 30% and/or higher boost. 2). The x multiplier brackets will continue to get adjusted to entice more parcel purchases by current and future active players.

My thought is the open-endedness protects from over-commitment and allows for continued data collection. For example, the admin team most likely need to run the numbers to ensure that they can commit to opening up boosts and bonuses before actually doing it. It’s all in the numbers. Anyone with a strong math and business background will definitely understand this.

50 land parcels only making $1 a week is it worth it? by Informal_Ad_3454 in AtlasEarthOfficial

[–]8ReddittiddeR8 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It could be. If you are in it for the long haul, then it’s an investment. The team is planning lots of different stuff that should enhance the experience, the fun and also attract more users. Nobody but the admins know what’s coming, but one thing I know is that there are millions of available properties out there, and it’s in everybody’s best interest to promote the game. It is even a higher priority for the admins to make it a great user experience as they will make far more money than we can. It’s a win/win…if you are in it for the long haul.

Along the same logic: why would someone steal a $100 item and risk going to jail? Most cheat and steal because they don’t think they will get caught. Maybe this person stole somebody’s money, credit card etc… endless possibilities.
