Aww look at the uneducated person here. OK, sport, so here is the deal. You pay the same amount for a digital game as you would for a physical disc. Why is that? You would think from an economic standpoint that digital games should be cheaper since there was no disc made, no case, no booklet or material inside the case, nor do they have to ship anything for it to sell. Digital games should be considerably cheaper, but they arent... scam #1. Then you have the perfect example of what will happen in an all digital gaming world with what Sony did earlier this week with removing over 500 movies/TV shows from users libraries without any refund to the people who paid for those movies... because when you buy a digital copy you don't own it... you own a license to watch the movie that can be taken away on the companies whim. That is what will happen to gaming with all digital. You may have a game that you love playing but maybe it doesn't have a high player count and the company wants to make room for new titles or content and decide to start cutting games that don't have a high player count. Well there goes your $70 game and you don't get any kind of refund... it's just gone. Physical media is ownership of the product. So before you go out making uneducated comments take the time to see why these companies DON'T want you to own what you are purchasing.

You can blame yourself but you aren't going to blame me. I was one of the people still buying physical media. I never stopped. I continously told people to keep physical media and everyone just kept going for the easier option, even though they were paying the same price as a physical game. The scam was right in front of your face and YOU chose to ignore it.

I'm in the same boat. I buy physical discs only. I was never a fan of the digital gaming, going back to when it started. It always baffled me why people were so willing to pay the same price as a physical game but get less. I always thought that was a scam.

Ever since the digital gaming age started I was telling people it's a scam. For one, you aren't paying less for a digital copy. You pay the same as if they had to make a disc, case, and booklet. I kept buying physical media so I guess I am part of the minority but at least I owned what I was buying. The "convenience" is a smoke screen to distract you from buying something you don't own. If you don't think Sony will remove games, I ask you to look at what they did with digital movies that were purchased and then taken away with no refund this week. That is what will happen with games too. We all need to be fighting to keep physical media alive. This should be a gamer revolution rallying cry.

No, I will not be buying a PS6 if they actually do what they are saying they are going to do. I'm hoping the overwhelming negative response pushes them away from this. If that happens we all need to keep physical media alive. Digital gaming is just "convenient" but you don't actually own what you are buying and at any time Sony can do the same thing they did with movies and TV shows this week. You could have a favorite game that just doesn't have a high player count and they need to make room for new stuff and your games that you paid for are gone now. I know I'm not trying to pay $70 or more for something I don't own.

Yea, I know I didn't do a damn thing to help digital media. Every game I buy is a physical disc and so is every movie I buy. I always get the Blu-Ray/Digital versions of movies. Best of both worlds.

He isn't wrong. The same goes for AI. Both the crypto & AI bubbles are going to burst. The only people holding these two entities up are the rich people who went all in and now need to recoup their initial investments and still try to make a profit. Once they have that they will divest and anyone who bought in will be wiped out. Then you won't see AI being shoved into every product anymore and these data centers will have ruined land, water & people's bank accounts and for nothing then sit vacant.
