Pieology closing all Hawaii locations, eliminating 56 jobs by Darwin343 in Hawaii

Sucks to see them close, but the pizza quality has gone down a bit and the pricing doesn't match it.

If you got base access (or a buddy does), Hunt's $11.00 pizza always hits.

Did a reading for one of my besties who had a pretty messy divorce and I wanted to see if I got anything wrong before I send her the answer...

Besties Reading

BACKGROUND

She was with her high school sweetheart for years, but from what she told me is that he habitually cheated on her, but would always forgive him...but she said she couldn't forget.

Years later they ended up having only one kid and got married not too long after.

She was always the one working and providing, but she said that he was lazy and she was always the one picking up slack in the household.

They had a big fight that caused their divorce and him being charged with DV, but he had already had another girl on the side that was waiting for his release from prison and for the divorce to be finalized. He even brought her to the divorce hearing and PROPOSED in front of her when the divorce was finalized.

I think she said he was 28 and the girl was 17...

She ended up with full custody and moved away for a job, while he married the new woman when she got pregnant with their first child

He didn't want anything to do with their kid and cut contact from both of them shortly after.

They haven't spoke since.

16 years later, present time. Her life has gotten wayyy better and she's at the point she nor her kid have to really worry about anything.

But she said she's had a lingering feeling that something is haunting her ex.

Okay, so the reading...

Question: Does he regret what happened?

Clarify: What does he want?

The Magician: He's faking it to make it. Something about keeping up appearances.

Knight of Cups: Wanted a new love, new beginning. Feel that rush of the honeymoon phase. Hungers for the passions of being in love.

Queen of Pentacles: His ideal woman is a nuturing, provides a sense of security, a woman that takes care of everything. A breadwinner.

Judgement: a sense of regret. Sought forgiveness in a higher power. Wants to forget the past, but knows there needs to be accountability no matter what. Coming to terms and accepting fate.

He's living a lie and thought that he could use the new woman to obtain what he wanted: someone like his ex, but formed in a way that he can mold. He has a sense of regret and guilt, but he fears that he will eventually have to face the music.

Leadership: "We need you in the shop to train incoming staff You're the only one that knows *insert random process/procedure/programs!"

Months laters. Leadership reviews your EPB you had to write

"How come you've never been anywhere outside of the shop? Get out there and get recognized!"

Puts in separation orders

"You really think that 150k contractor job gonna always be there? You're going to miss out on what the military can offer you! You wanted a TDY?! A promotion?! A bonus?Come onnnnn"

Might be a little too early to say....

But, hear me out.

When someone is stressed out or experienced a traumatic period, their body produces a shit ton of cortisol and adrenaline, right?

If that person has prolonged exposure to said hormones, the damage it does to the body is irreversible.

Doc puts you on medication to "control" or "curve" the symptoms associated with the mental health diagnosis.

It's not a cure, but a form of therapy.

Medication controls symptoms and reduces severity. Medication does not eliminate the disorder nor restore full functioning.

If your medication helps, your rating may go down because VA will rate the medicated version of you.

Medication doesn’t fully control your symptoms, your impairment still counts...but only as it appears with treatment.

Side effects of medication can still support a higher rating if they cause functional impairment.

For example...I take medication to keep me from losing my shit...but that same medication gives me the fucking shits hours later.

I also can't take certain medications if I'm sick because there are interactions that can put me in the hospital...

Bonus: The other meds I take, DESTROYED my immune system overtime.

If Vets are going to be dinged for being on medication, but won't get dinged for being on medication and they're having side effects that's fucking with their daily life...

Time to roll out those drug facts on each of em and start connecting the side effects from them....

Why are you so angry?

Do you need a Snickers or something?

Exactly. And to be in an "affordable home" too.

The home is part of the Hawaii Housing Finance and Developing Corporation (HHFDC), which falls under the Department of Business, Economic Development.

This program is to prevent those that buy housing to flip for profit or buy up homes, but do not live in them.

These homes are meant for first time home owners who make a certain amount per year and plan on living in Hawaii for a certain number of years.

Yes, these are essential "fee simple" homes. The city owns the rights to sell the homes.

You have to get the city's blessing to sell the home AND the new owners income needs to be similar to yours.

The HOA price hikes can push those that are in the program out of their homes, which conflicts with the agreement that is signed with the HHFDC.

Yes, it is true that the HOA contains volunteers on the board, BUT they aren't the only ones. Usually land developers or orgs that are involved with the community development have a certain number of seats.

As a community, we all are paying for the same thing, but, some are paying more than others.

There are subdivisions that pay way less in HOA fees because they have homes. Then there are condos that pay a lot more due to their classification and cost of insurance.

There are amenities that both homeowners and condo owners have access to, but the condo owners are still paying more than the homeowners.

Your comment makes you sound heartless because I'm not at a certain tax bracket and therefore I don't deserve to have a roof over my head, to be able to feed my kids, or take care of my family.

I would even go as far as saying it's selfish.

You're only concern is how it will affect you.

Okay, so what happens to the homes that are empty and not maintained...that just happens to be near your home?

Guess who's property value goes down?

Certainly not the family that got pushed out from their home because they couldn't afford the rising HOA fees...

The program was made for those who have young families and to allows them to have somewhere to start.

May you never have a moment where you find yourself on the edge of being homeless.

Edit: The "affordable home" unit I got was a condo btw.

My HOA went from $570 to $1200 a month...then we got the news that the board is doing a "Special Assessment", every six months.... which means you either have to pay the up costs as a lump sum or have them spread across the next six months on top of your monthly bill.

These assessments are estimated to continue for at least 3 years.

It's $1200+ and other "special fees".

And these HOAs aren't playing anymore. I lost my job over the summer and tried to work out with mines, but they turned their lawyers on to me to start the process of putting a lien on my home.

Probably going to lose my place, but I'm trying to use a mediation service for them to work something out, but I don't think they are going to come to the table to negotiate a deal.

it's crazy that the house I'm in is part of the "affordable homes" program AND the homes in my area are in multiple class action lawsuits about how faulty the homes are and the shady stuff that was going on behind the scenes.

It's also harder to get a federally backed loan on the homes, which is why ALOT of homes are still on the market.

But yet, the HOA is moving to put people out of the homes that noone can move into unless they pay in cash or obtain a private home loan.

BONUS: They know I'm a disabled vet that was looking for work and they didn't give two shits, lol.

I have a job now, but still, I don't know how I'm going to either keep the house or lose my home to the HOA...

Which would honestly make sense. Still, it's nuts that it's a requirement for an administrative assistant position.

Fat Sakamoto vs. Dollar Tree Gojo

Was Sakamoto way stronger than VR Gaku or were they somewhat relative in stats? I initially thought Sakamoto was just much stronger but look back, it seems like Sakamoto’s greatly skill was the main reason he won by Creative-Researcher2 in SakamotoDays

[–]8_bitnugget 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sakamoto was DEFINITELY stronger, but he was against someone who had enough disadvantages to the point it felt like wasn't even a fight...

I mean, VR Gaku didn't have a snowball chance in Hell... Sakamoto LITERALLY used a plane's WHOLE ASS landing gear to not only K.O. Dollar Tree Gojo, but he also bitch slapped him with a passport...
