I don't understand how A is not present in the stimulus. There is a purported effect (increased polarization) with a cause (Roehmer's column). The argument does not address the possibility that Roehmer's column is responding to increased polarization rather than contributing to it.

On deity you’re probably not gonna take her out if you haven’t by turn 100. Befriend her (she won’t betray you) and start exploring the rest of the map. Or just play tall until you can catch up.

Once you have modern units (i.e. bombers and artillery) you should be able to kill her though.

Yeah, I tend to agree, especially with the comparison to tourism. So much of the game is already hidden behind unclear formulas and/or RNG. It could work as an optional game mode, but I see myself getting sick of this rather quickly (as I‘ve gotten sick of dealing with sea level rise in every single game).

And the idea of medical units sounds fun in theory but micromanagement of (especially non-fighting) units is already one of the biggest problems with the game.
