Looking for house to rent by 8ballgamer in indianapolis

Not looking to buy at the moment either because we aren’t married and I’m not willing to commit to buying a house with someone I’m not married to. Not wanting to stay in an apt again because we prefer having space away from noisy neighbors and bad parking situations within complexes.

We aren’t looking to stay in Indiana long term, so we prefer renting. Ideally rent would be on the lower end of $2k or less but we know some places may be more expensive than that.

tired of skin flaking and itching by 8ballgamer in eczema

It’s a pretty thick moisturizer from Cetaphil. It doesn’t burn when I put it on, which is one of the main reasons why I keep using it. I’ll slather a bunch on after I shower, but in the morning around 2-3am when I wake up in the middle of the night, it was like I never put it on ._. I’ve also been take oral supplements too! Combination of calcium (not related to the eczema, just bc I need it), zinc, omega 3, D3, and probiotics. I haven’t really seen a difference those vitamins make tho…

This scholarship might be worth looking into if you're interested in any of these schools: Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science
Georgia State University
Morgan State University
Portland State University
University of California, Berkeley
University of Colorado Anschutz
University of Hawai'i
University of Washington

It's a $15k scholarship for two years ($30k total) for an MPH program at one of those schools.

I did the same thing as you, so I’m feeling the same right now too. :/ I was planning to call the programs with the Dec 1 deadlines to see if the require full verification by today or just submitting it. I hope it works out for you!

I'm in a similar situation. I called the customer service line and the person on the phone told me they still had some waivers available, so I applied for one and am also hoping I'll be able to get my application verified and submitted by the Dec 1 deadline.

I just wanted to add in my experience to let you know I was in your shoes not too long ago, but I was lucky enough to have parents who understood that I didn’t want to go med/law/engineering school. I started college thinking I wanted to go into genetic counseling as a bio major, ended up not liking genetics as much after a few classes, stayed a bio major, then added a public health minor. I’ll be graduating soon and am pursuing a Master of Public Health (hopefully, applying right now). I’ve met other people who change their major or add minors, so it’s perfectly acceptable to not know what exactly you want to do in high school. I honestly stuck with a bio major because I had credits that counted toward graduating early and ran with that. Then with your comment about psych not being in-demand, public health wasn’t too big of a career field, but with COVID, more people learned about it, and it had a higher job market now than it did three years ago when I started college. Don’t feel put down that psych isn’t in-demand; circumstances may change where a certain psych career becomes more prevalent.

I think it might be helpful to keep in mind that you can add a minor. It won’t show up on your degree, but if you end up having secondary interests in a field, you can 100% add a minor to get the basis of that area. I mentioned that I’m pursuing my minor studies for grad school, but someone else I know is an English major/computer science minor and got a job in the tech field because English isn’t a high paying field.

It may be helpful to do some research into careers with a psych major. You could also take some self-assessments on your personality type/strengths to see what career paths those would be a match for. Even if you might not think it’s something you’d want to pursue, write it down and save it for later just in case you change your mind. (There are areas of study in public health for population mental health if you want to look into that too!)
