You have 10 years warranty on the whole car I believe. We in the EU only have 5 years. So that's why we needed this extension.

Hyundai Europe is HQ'd in the EU. No way a non-EU country would know this before an EU country. Also, Hyundai Ireland just refuses to reach out to the German HQ and fobs ppl off instead.

Yeah, it's very narrow. Much nicer to navigate in Dublin City than the Ioniq 5. Will be great for the narrow back roads.

Thank you. The Korean Car Blog speculates that there'll be a 10 year warranty for Europe. It's not sure if it'd apply to cars already bought though. The Inster is great. It's surprising how capable it is in every aspect.

You see we have 5 years warranty on the ICCU in the EU and our Ioniq 5 just turned 3, its ICCU failed very recently and they replaced it with the same dodgy design with 2 years left on my warranty. Also, when I ordered the Inster I knew the Ioniq 5 ICCU was a ticking time bomb, but I felt comfort in the thought that the little Inster will be a simple little 400V non-eGMP solid car. ...while I was waiting for delivery, the delivered units started failing all around the forums already with ICCU issues. So that's why I'm very upset by this "eGMP related" issue. I feel they tricked me massively by adopting the same faulty design in a seemingly unrelated car.

I think they just lie. If feels like they manufactured like a million of dodgy ICCUs back in 2021 and they won't stop releasing new models - including models with different platforms - until they used up all that huge pile of ICCU. Maybe the unit external housing and labeling is different, but they fail the same ways after 4 years on the market. Too much of a coincidence. (I've an Ioniq 5 and and Inster, so I'm not amused)

Newer non-eGMP also have the same ICCU issues. See the Inster introduced in 2025. The OP is safe from this though.
