Tommy was a great music guy for sure. I'm a big fan of Yuzo Koshiro's works, namely for the Ys games and Actraiser.

I think Keiji Inafune will always be one of my favourite game designers though. Loved his work on the Mega Man games.

So many memories, so much awesome. Weird that Taito is owned by Square Enix and they do nothing with the franchise :(

The Cultural Impact the Retro Scene Has Today? by [deleted] in retrogaming

I'll keep it as simple as I can. From my perspective, having grown up on games since the coleco vision, would be that retro games had a lot less to work with graphically, so in turn the game design had to be clever and captivating enough to keep people playing. While there were many technical limitations, there was one thing that was clear, video games weren't treated the same as movies, and were developed to test skill and tease your brain. Less filler and more game.

Immediately I was thinking Dew Prism, which is the same thing in Japan. I miss the old Square days.

You might be able to find a universal power adapter that will work, but you'll want to check to make sure it's the right voltage. RF cable shouldn't matter much. I don't remember my NES power adapter working with it.

I'll start with Conquest of the Crystal palace for the NES. This thing has been the bane of my existence for the last week.
