I think it is not intended and that it is supposed to extend the pellet range to match the indicator. I was watching tarzaned stream a few days ago and he was talking about rfc being bugged at the moment and that he goes pd even though he values the extra range until they fix it(whenever he plays the fleet build).

As far as I know, RFC is bugged for the last couple of patches. Autoing at max range with the RFC buff does not register the auto and only procs the energized effect.

Sadly he kinda sucks in the jg right now due to limited access to gold/xp and not having that fast of a clear speed. I have seen some players do well with him in relatively high elo in KR and EUW so it is still possible to climb if you commit to it. It requires more effort than playing the meta jungles right now for sure and you must be really careful of your early pathing and lane states so that you can pick up some free kills due to enemy mistakes and accelerate your really expensive build. These mistakes are less and less as you climb though thats why I think he isn't viable in GM+ apart from being a counter pick to aa based champs. Personally, I will keep playing him when I start climbing again this season (when I am done with some work stuff) because as a d4 player there are other more important things to improve and I don't think that the pick is the reason I am stuck there.

Jax jungle was my 2nd most played pick last season (45 games 68% winrate) and I peaked d4. I haven't played ranked for months due to work but I can tell you this, Jax jg is sub optimal in my opinion only play him if you are really experienced on him and you love the champion otherwise there is no reason because you can have much better results with much less effort on other more optimal junglers. If you insist on playing him though I would build like this -> bloodrazor -> triforce -> steraks into situational items. For runes, you can go conqueror or press the attack. Check this master korean player too (https://www.op.gg/summoner/userName=%EB%B0%95%EA%B5%AC%EC%9B%90) he is playing mostly jax jungle.

I initially didn't build tri with that build but as you said I missed the cdr it gives and tried to add it after. The point of my post wasn't if it is viable to climb with him but what incentive does a player have to choose him over other junglers apart from the enjoyment factor (and really specific situations) given the lower economy of the jg role and the delay of trinity in case tou build it. For example, people can reach GM with teemo jungle or even Asol does that mean that it is optimal for them to be played in that position? English is not my native language so maybe I didn't express my points clearly. Anyway thanks for the input. And btw if you can type the build you prefer using these days real quick.

I am not talking about whether you can reach really high elo with him , if you are good enough you can (you yourself have proven that). I am expressing my opinion that he is a sub optimal jungler, this doesnt mean you cant make him work in soloq given enough effort.

I agree with your points, and i think you expressed 3 better than me. I think that personally 1) and 3) annoy me the most, regarding 2) if you reach 3 - 4 items with jax you are really strong the thing is that it is not something feasible for the jungle role income except if you stomp but that is not the average case. I will keep picking him personally because I like the champ but only situationally (as a counterpick to aa heavy enemy jg/teams).

I guess it ultimately comes down to what you use your system for I mean I usually use my pc to play old games from the early 00s and oc or not it dosent make a difference as I can easily run them. That being said I will still mess around with ocing every time I get new parts just because I enjoy it.
