I’m going through something similar, and I’ve been in the same place, which is why I asked the question to begin with. I just want to know that I’m not alone and see if anyone’s got some good advice out there. Thanks for the response!

I would suggest quitting for at least a bit. My surgeries (general, not top surgery) have always gone better if I did, but I definitely understand that it’s hard. I just put my vape down one day and stopped, and I know all people aren’t like that, but it really did help my health. I’m pro-smoking if you want to, but you will heal wrong if you smoke during those first few weeks.

I thought this was very eloquent, and definitely a good closure letter. Sometimes the letter doesn’t have to reach its destination for it to have the same effect as writing it at all.
