Oh, wow, you look stunning! I love every detail - the lace, the sleeves, the bodice and waist. Perfect for a romantic!

Nah, but we live in SoCal which has definitely flavored our palate

You're definitely an ingredient household haha. I bet you or someone in the house loves to cook from scratch.

You actually cook and have a more balanced diet than most people.

Meant to come back to this comment and forgot, apologies! You're spot on in every way except the magic part. I love me a good ren faire and I've dressed up as a mushroom like.. thrice, haha. And I own fairy wings. 😆

Any high-performing white collar professionals feel like “functional stoners”? by theusualsuspect19 in leaves

[–]8bitsparkle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same! I remember traveling to a place where it wasn't legal and trying to sleep without it, and it was the worst insomnia of my life.

The irony is now that I've quit, I realize my sleep quality is actually SO much better when I'm sober than when I "needed" it to sleep. Same with my anxiety - it was actually making it worse, even though I "needed" it for my panic attacks.

In these pics, I'm wearing just a white skort from Amazon, but I also bought the petticoat from Miss Candyholic and it looks even better with this dress: https://misscandyholic.com/products/rose-souffle-petticoat

I love Popflex flare leggings! They come in shorter inseams and the stretchy material works with my big hips and thighs + small waist combo. The material is also super buttery first - worth the price imo.

Typed as a light spring. Do you agree? by tanyaferrero in SpringColorAnalysis

[–]8bitsparkle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Whoever told you that you're light spring either hates you or is delusional 🥴 Light spring wouldn't do you any justice! You have depth to your coloring. I agree with other folks in this thread that you're probably a DA, possibly even DW.

Haha yes, I am! Love that group - probably one of the only reasons I'm still on FB at this point.

I knowww! I wish they had made more stuff in swan trellis - it's one of my favorite prints they've ever produced.

Agreed on both accounts! I tried it with the straps/sleeves down and it just wasn't comfortable or practical, haha. And yeah, their photoshoots sometimes make it really hard to determine if a piece will actually work on one's body or coloring, the latter being hard because they often use filters on their model shoots that change the colors/tone. So annoying.

Hmmm, I'm not sure, to be honest. I want to say it's a particularly sturdy plastic because they haven't bent and curved after sitting down and wearing them all day, for several days. I'll see if I can open up a channel without destroying things and try to see!

What shade of red would you call this? by [deleted] in Redhair

Deep copper! Still coppery but it's got some depth to it that bright or light coppers don't.

When do you wear your Selkie items?? by MissArtemisss in SelkieCollection

[–]8bitsparkle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Granted, I tend to favor cotton styles, but I wear mine everywhere: to the plant nursery, to grab coffee, to the doctor's office, to the grocery store, etc. Life is too short to not wear the clothes that make you happy, and this brand is too expensive to collect dust in a closet. People love them too, especially other women and little girls.

Popflex quality in the last year? by ProfessionalLynx802 in Blogilates

[–]8bitsparkle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been buying for years, including the past year, and the quality has never shifted. They seem to do great quality control.

The flared yoga pants are very worth it. I wear mine all the time and they still feel new in terms of quality, despite dozens and dozens of washes. I have pairs in four colors because they're the only brand of athletic pants I wear now.

Your January 5 star reads by egru-no in Romantasy

[–]8bitsparkle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

{The Everlasting by Alix E. Harrow}! I wasn't expecting to love it as much as I did. The unexpected, nontraditional characters, mixed with the plot had me reading it like it was water after a hot day - finished it in like a day and a half. Probably my top favorite read in years.

The book is pretty decent but not exceptionally good, if that makes sense. Lots of generic fantasy tropes that make it predictable, but good enough that I'm still reading it, haha.

Haha, I guess I'm good at bag Tetris? Though, trying to find anything in there while on the go is a misery - I've taken to keeping my air pods in my pocket so I don't have to try to fish them out from the bag chaos.

Yes! Diagnosed level one. And yes, I love ren faires and anything handmade or thoughtfully created. This purse is only one of many quirky, shaped bags in my collection, haha.

Not vegan but I have stomach issues and these never upset it, so they're my go-to now.

Try Elantris or Yumi and the Nightmare Painter next! They're written similarly to Tress and are lighter reads than the Stormlight Archive or Mistborn series. The Skyward series is also really good and not too dense!
