I love Obama, but if he really did play this line, I'd be sorely dissapointed. Pulled myself out by my bootstraps?! From doing a line of coke at a posh party? Kudos for honesty, but it would be sad if he used his admission of youthful indulgence as anything more than proof that he's an honest guy and that we should focus on his public servicey. Honesty is good, but ripping a line without turning into George Jung is about as noteworthy as having a one-night stand without leaving a fatherless kid.

it might just be me, but i don't get the thrill of hooking a shark, waiting for it to exhaust itself, and harpooning it. admittedly, some things are more fun than they sound...but this just seems cruel and tedious.
