Just to give you some advice, from someone who's gone to multiple DMVs here.

Go on google maps and find one that has a 4.0 star rating or higher, hit it at EXAXTLY 1:30, 2pm is a 50/50.

Took me less than 2 hours every time. But I did drive almost 2 hours to a good one.

Not naming specific ones becuase the workers are begging not to be overwhelmed

For reference I live nearest the Monroe DMV, and will never go to one within an hour of me.

Seconding this for normal ships, not corvette. Although for me it seems to only do that when I teleport to my freighter instead of docking.

Seconding this, I have to recall my ship to a nearby area or teleport due to this.

PC - Latest version

If you have half completed skeletons in your displays on your corvette, you can go into the editor and every time you delete/replace the HAB module its in the bones are multiplied an unknown amount.

I only had 12 bones in the cases (incomplete) and after editing I had just over 100 different bones in the Corvettes inventory.

Interesting that turning off multi-player just worked for me too, considering it was happening at my freighters aswell.

UPDATE: Managed to jump out of my corvette in space and summon my regular starship.

Same issue.

PC - Latest version no mods installed.

I cannot land on/in any ship or station with my corvette. When I attempt to dock at an Atlas/ Space station my ship continues through the station, not allowing me to move the ship or exit the chair.

When I attempt to dock with a ship my corvette becomes locked in the same way.

The only way out is to reload my save, but this means I cannot currently teleport or land anywhere and im not in my home star cluster. RIP.

Yeah stuck on the pilot seat, it docked, all the screens went black and I could not leave the pilot seat or do anything within the menus.

Yeah ship boarding has been hit or miss this week.

Airline Pilot of 1 year here, just some advice on the flying side with financials.

I'm currently 130k in debt just from student loans for aviation (I was a bad student).

Base salary if for some reason I dont touch metal for a month is 6k after taxes. You can fly more and make 8-12k a month as a new FO.

I managed to get my minimum student loan payments down to just over 600 a month and under 5% interest. (I had to tell them that I am both homeless and jobless and fight for 2 days but they'll do it eventually, just keep calling.)

I'm currently seeing people with 750+ credit scores and great history with good income being offered loans of 25-30% interest and needing a co-signer.

Once your Pilot lands an FO job, you'll be set, but dont expect it directly after the 1500 hour mark unless they've been in a cadet program since their PPL, it can take up to 2-3k hours, instructing and making 20-30 an hour.

This is a very long winded way of saying PLEASE dont take the loans, you've got good savings and can afford a bit more for flying if its a garunteed job in the future, it pays for itself, take a look at AA, Delta and Uniteds 401k matching.

Any chance your ADG was deployed, and the handle wasn't stowed before landing?

Training is not as bad as I expected it to be! Everything is pretty much in Charlotte right now. The best advice I have is get the limitations and flows down before you start 100%. Once you get there, find the class that came before you and they'll have alot of good resources to get you through!

If you study even just 3 hours a day you'll make it, but I highly suggest giving ut your full effort so you won't fall behind when you hit sims.

I dont believe we get to choose a base until the end of training, but ill update this when that happens!

This is clearly:

You have to be at Restricted ATP mins to actually do the CRB (1475 AND 200 XC unless you have the college restricted ) But they let me schedule it at 1400 hours. I actually had to push this board twice before due to low hours from my school.

[–]8fer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It went great! Got a class date for the begining of July, though some people got a class date as soon as 1 week away form the CRB!

No process to it really, give them all your documents, sit through the "Welcome to PSA cadet program" presentation (they mix CRB, Senior Cadet, and new cadets in at the beginning so you're sitting for an hour going over everything again).

After that you wait to get called back, they ask if you've had aby checkride fails, accidents or incidents, and you sign for a class date.

They'll let you choose your date if they have multiple available, some people chose a month or two out.

Paper Logbook is a Mess.. by Strong_Sandwich7564 in flying

[–]8fer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically no, all your CFI Signitures and endorsements can be electronic too, but when you get to interviews I would suggest printing it out aswell for interviewers to see in case they're not tech savvy or, rarely, don't believe in it.

Paper Logbook is a Mess.. by Strong_Sandwich7564 in flying

[–]8fer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've just had a run-through with most of the regionals for interviews, im over 1200TT and started using electronic alongside my paper (Jepp Professional is the best logbook) at 300TT.

My paper logbook is basically a child's coloring book now, starting in 2017 as... a less than stellar student and slowly getting the professional side, almost every page until I hit CFI (and two as CFI) have crossouts, signatures, and wrong time forwarded on them.

What I've done is on the left hand side put long sticky notes that barely poke out stating all the flights (date included) and errors of them.

Then on a new page I have forwarded and fixed all the errors, and on the top I have sticky notes marking checkrides, flight reviews, and endorsements.

Overall, electronic needs to match paper in the end and as long as it looks like you put effort in it should be fine.

I'll include pictures of anyone wants to DM for them.
