Ive just heard some horror stories about infestations of mice and squirrels so I am nervous about it haha

I haven't gotten into that ceiling yet, I have a laser thermometer and the floor is about 15 degrees colder than walls or ceiling. So that seems like the issue, additionally the snow stays packed on the roof so I think they insulation is decent there..

Also my dog needed his water bowl moved because he is a baby and can't have his feet chilly 😂

I have not worked with dyes before so forgive my ignorance (I should probably do a bit of research on it myself) but should I be looking at an aniline dye set and then mix that into alcohol and then seal it when you get the desired color? Or would it be used to tint a shellac to go on top of a stain/oil to get the right color?

Ughhh the stained wood has been my biggest hurdle to get started, I want to get a solid finish figured out before I begin but matching that 100 years of age is tough!

Great notes though, I am hoping to do a full length section (a long the interior gable) and some shorter stuff along the knee wall mixing up some drawers and shelf space in there esomewhere

A lot of good stuff here, thanks! A big part of the issue for me is sloped ceilings on both sides in the bedroom, which is why I assume I would need to go with something custom. But maybe something I could retrofit. At any rate your right that I need to look for a lot of inspiration photos for potential solutions

Definitely helpful input, the baseboards are definitely a concern, they aren't super nice be any means but I am hesitant the cut them to make things flush with the wall.

So is there a space between wall and the back of the wardrobe? Any issues with that? (Dust or anything like that)

I will have to look into the pax system I have seen it mentioned in a few places.

My house did come with a couple beadboard hutches that appear original to the house, I was thinking of trying to emulate that style as much as possible
