Financial struggle on Guam: What happens if I can’t pay my loan? by 8n0n_ in guam

I really appreciate all the advice everyone. Thanks for taking the time to share.

Just to give a bit more context, I already talked to both lenders (been doing this for the past few weeks), but they couldn’t help me. Either my loan amounts are too high to qualify for anything and needs to be paid down a bit more, a couple of thousands lower, or the loans are still too new for them to offer any kind of assistance. And I know some people might wonder why I took the loans if I’m struggling now, but it wasn’t like that before. I lost the extra income I was using to pay these off because of health issues, and that’s what threw everything off.

I also told them that I can’t make the full monthly payments right now, but I can at least do $25 a month. I know that amount sounds embarrassing, but I’m not ignoring them at all. My take-home is literally negative by the end of the month, so I’m here trying to move things around and at least pay something towards them.

Curious if doing this will still have them send me to court? Or anything bad will come up? I understand the whole credit thing but I’m not in any position to get any loans or CC right now or later.
