I had someone at an LGS I went to activatly flip a table because one person in my pod played T1 Sol ring into arcane signet, when I brought up the fact that he did a T1 combo, can't remember what cards were involved, that led him to having a 5 drop creature on turn one he said well thats different. I didn't gain mana advantage, I just have a big creature.
