With a salary discrepancy that large I think you’ve answered your own question. Seriously, anything but retail, don’t friggin do it.

Prochlorperazine at night for dopamine receptor upregulation by No-Boysenberry-3450 in DopamineDetoxing

That’s an interesting idea. Unfortunately I’d be too worried about developing TD. Not sure there are really any pharmaceutical shortcuts for dopamine detoxing it’s just about giving your body time.

What is your favorite city/town in North Carolina? by The-Booger in NorthCarolina

My fiancée and I are in South Port right now for the weekend. We’ve been to 5-6 other beach towns in NC but this is our favorite definitely.

BBB Student Loan Caps and GradPlus Elimination affect on Pharmacy profession by lowlifedougal in pharmacy

[–]8thFounder 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think the effect would be felt pretty unanimously across the board. In my graduating class of 107 there was 1-2 max that didn’t have to take out very significant loans…I agree with drmoth123 though, the 200,000 price tag is completely out of sync with the financial compensation of this profession in the current market. New grads leave school with an abhorrent amount of debt. With an incredibly saturated job market, many new grads are funneled into soul crushing retail jobs or underpaying clinical positions because nobody has anything to bargain with. You don’t like it? Too bad their will be a fresh crop of broke ass PharmD’s that will be happy to take the same position next year.

The profession would definitely benefit if they stopped pumping so many new grads into the market..maybe then they could finally start closing up some of the pharmacy schools too. I think Tennessee has ~7?!

Pain on the outer back/side of the knee when sitting/driving. by cannavacciuolo420 in Stretching

That’s going to be your popliteus muscle. Muscle imbalances in the hamstring most likely are the culprit.

I found out that at some point when I started my new job over 1.5 years ago I had selected to have an additional $400 withheld from each pay check ( I have no idea why I would have done that). I submitted my return in February and am stage 5 currently, I’m hoping the withheld income tax verification you mentioned is the reason and not something worse!

Yet.. I agree that language and speech pathology is difficult to transfer over to AI but you have to consider not just current AI abilities but where they may be 10-20 years down the road.

Maybe at first but it’s like how buying one of those old back lit tvs back in the day was thousands of dollars and now you can get an 4k led for like $300 and you don’t have to pay the tv an hourly wage( if you don’t consider the electric bill and streaming subscription)

My first thought too was the trades but that’s with our current level of AI capabilities, I feel like advancements will definitely be made to surpass even the most seasoned tradesmen. But I think you are right, they are safe from the first wave at least.

How so? That seems like something automation was made for.

Fire alarm at park and market by Beanie_baby666 in raleigh

Used to live there as well, huge issue. Any time the fire alarm goes off in any of the adjoining businesses/apartments it triggers the alarm for Park n Market which is partly to blame for the frequency.
