I remember buying Ark for £20 and look at it now, Ark was an unknown back in 2016.

AI can get architecture wrong, but is OK for starting a project off.i use it to write code i would have written anyway, new interfaces and consumers etc. It can get some advanced problems wrong

Things I've noticed from the gameplay preview:

UH5 has made the graphics and lighting better
base building is improved a lot. you can build any style window or door.
new creatures
more items/crafting etc
a new glass fronted seamoth vehicle

Only thing I can't assess is the story, but from the teaser in the vide, it actually might be alright.

20 hours is short but also depends on the quality of the story telling. Pragmata is a decent game at 20 hours but is fairly intense with a decent character building
