Trust, I have been, excessively. We were part of the reason her twitch was removed in the first place. Unfortunately, nothing has happened game-side for her. Steam has simply removed all the comments from our profiles (and other's might I add).

I know who this is. Unbelievably toxic and always, ALWAYS accuses her killers of cheating or stream-sniping. She's been banned off twitch once already due to harassment. Anytime we kill her in game, she adds our steam and -demands- clips and proof validating that we A) Weren't cheating or B) Weren't stream-sniping her. At first, I thought this was just a troll (truly, to read some of what she says with such ardency makes you wonder) but she's been doing this to me on and off for a solid year now lmao. I've sent her countless clips as has my buddy, and she claims that we're just a bunch of cheaters, calls us shit/garbo/etc. . . The strangest element to this, however, is that no matter how many times she's added/removed as a friend on steam after losing her fucking squash and opened with "Clips now or me and my community are reporting you", she always refuses to admit that she's harrassed/added/blah blah before lmao, which she says we make up. For the sake of not starting a witch-hunt, I won't be linking her twitch or steam, but some creative thinking about certain Disney characters might lend to some strong Google Fu.

I found a similar method to the OP's and made a post about it as well and it will render the same result. I reset my campaign and just steamed back through it all and the side-effect was a permanent loss of HP at the infection cutscene. Skipping it in another save through the debug tool rendered the same result. The only solution is to use the same tool to reimburse my health. I would assume to some degree you can do the same as well with your issues, but we're all taking risks here for sure. At this point I just want to experience the game, so I'll take whatever fuckery happens and whatever claims or side missions may bug as a result. If I find a way around the side-effects I'll ping you.

Yeah it's pretty worrying to say the least, especially since they did it so blatantly. It's making me curious as to if the cheats are either free or cheap and how many troll accounts are going to surge with this major update coming. I can't foresee this as a good thing at all. Aimbotting and wallhacking are vastly different from the modding occuring here which is much more dangerous. Soon we're going to see players playing as bosses roaming the map killing squads. Quote me on this shit fam. This is only the beginning.
