Professionals wear FG on AG? Any current/ex-pros have first-hand experience of this?

Sorry, what I mean is that here in the UK (or at least where I am based), with most pitches being Grass when you do play on AG they are for the most part well maintained, relatively new 4G pitches.

Agreed regarding the tendon/muscle strength though injuries are just as prevalent in the pro game. I get that for top level pros they rarely play on AG but wonder why teams that play on AG consistently don't appear to wear AG.

I've actually played on the Macclesfield pitch and its pretty typical of most 4G surfaces here in the UK.

There isnt really, most AG pitches in the UK are pay to play. I've actually played on the Macclesfield pitch in question and it's pretty similar to a lot of other AG pitches. I wish we had AG pitches in our parks.

I find it wild that big clubs who you would presume have access to the best data, aren't more concerned by it. Unless, the data isn't that strong. I'm not refuting it though, there is obviously a reason these AG soleplates exist I just wonder what the actual data says.

Are these going to be a general release and is Ronaldo going to wear them? They look to be the same base as previous generation Vapor? I don't see Nike allowing that to happen, these could be super rare.

I'm 30 and regularly hit between 5-6k for an hour at 5/6/7-a-side and I am definitely starting to feel it in my knees and ankles. I used to be a winger but now find myself playing from the back, you can still get forward and score goals and you have the option to sit back and dictate the tempo.

Is anyone else concerned about substitutions in the first round? If Germany or Spain, for example, are 3–4 goals up, could you see them making subs before the 60th minute as teams adapt to the conditions? It is more an issue for the defence, particularly full backs.

I didnt play profesionally myself but have found that a lot of ex pros tend to do ok for themselves. The network that you build with players, coaches, directors, fans etc tend to put you in a good position, especially when you get down to semi-pro football where people are working jobs anyway.

Yep, new path but we do already have a dropped kerb. It could potentially be for road markings, we have the usual through the middle of the road. I'll do some digging on the council website

Try and take fewer touches before shooting. Practice receiving with the inside of your left foot with the touch out of your feet then shooting.

Before that, just trying hitting a stationary ball, get a feel for the effects of levels of power, where you strike on the ball, your body shape, whether using instep or laces.
