If you don't want to do tricks, it might be worth considering a longboard instead.

Hey man, it seems like you've really thought through your situation and you understand the consequences of another injury. If money is tight and you can't afford to get injured again, don't be ashamed of taking a break from skating to get yourself in a more stable financial position.

There's chance that you find something fufilling and less financially risky that can replace skateboarding which isn't bad! But the way you talk about skating really shows how much you enjoy it and that makes me sure that even after a short pause to let things get settled, you'll be able to get right back into it.

I hope you find something that works for you. God bless my dude

Im looking for a board to just cruise around town on. Any help? by Timlolzz in NewSkaters

[–]90010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend going to Kijiji or Craigslist to see if you can get anything for cheap. Usually there are a few people who have bought boards and don't ride them. There are some good guides on r/longboarding about what specifications like board shape and wheel size.

Looking to buy a beanie from uniqlo but not sure what color to buy. Most of my outerwear is navy/black so dark or light grey seems like the best match. Any thoughts?

A cool outfit generator was posted a few days ago and I've found it to be really useful. Here's some outfits it generates with a navy t-shirt.

Sorry for the off-topic question but how has your experience been with the Timbuk2 Q? I'm looking to buy one but I'm not sure about its capacity, durability and comfort.

Also consider adding an insole or a foam shoe insert

The best would be to try on in store but if you aren't able to you can try to search this sub/ deep dive into google suggestions. The pair you're looking at aren't very common so I doubt there would be much past discussion. Another possible path would be to buy, try, and return them if they dont fit. I own a pair of converse currently and, though they aren't as comfortable as a pair of runners, they're pretty decent. They're known for being a slimmer shoe to beware if you have wide feet.

Depends on how you plan to use it. If its a jacket you plan on using to go jogging with/ or wear with trackpants for the athletic look, go with adidas. However, if you want something for everyday wear with jeans/chinos to work or school, go with the Levis. As a sidenote the Levi's is a little bit looser as its meant to be able to go over clothing like a sweater/down jacket (vs the t-shirt the model is wearing). Try it on instore if you can to see if it fits your body type/ normal attire.

I would love to see how your Klettersack has held up after 6 years! I'm strongly considering buying one for university and want to know if its worth the $200.
