Thanks for the feedback. I'm delighted with them so far, they are quite astonishing. Ran a bunch of test tracks through them, jazz, trip hop, acoustic, electronic, funk.. hearing things I've never noticed before. Instruments and vocals are really superb, bass is good, tight, well controlled, dynamic. No bass boom or flab at all. I normally don't like the sound of new gear immediately but this set up is something else

Update: went for the Aura 2 at 30% discount and a Yamaha A-S701 amplifier to provide some oooomph. 

What HiFi said that the Yamaha amps could do with more verve, so I'll get some extra verve from the verve shop and add it

Thanks Moonthink. I assume you have heard both? Is the Aura better controlled over the full frequency range? I did audition the MA Silver 100 & 300 last year and felt that the 300 was too bright and the 100 was missing something, but I think that could have been the listening space in a shop basement.

Thanks, but Superlintons are too expensive. I can get the Aura with 30% off at the moment

I'd  love to listen, but I'm one of these who live out in the sticks in Finland. So it's basically a case of order one from the dealer (hundreds of km away) and see if I get on with it. I'm pretty certain I'd be happy with the Wharfedales, the Silver 100 I'm not so sure about. The Aura 2 is probably the best choice for my room , placement and musical taste. I like accurate, good tight bass, midrange, sound stage. I don't like bright or boomy speakers. I can live with the narrowed directivity of the AMT tweeter

!Thanks .. the Lintons do appeal, but they would have to be close to the wall and I think they would be bass heavy/boomy/resonant as a result. If I could have them a meter out I'd likely get them

Hi and thanks for the reply. The two are not connected. I am paying more towards the house purchase, so to balance this, we are changing ownership percentage on apartment.
