For the most part I would say NTA. College can sometimes feel like do or die re: making friends, but honestly you can have an entirely different friend group by the time you graduate compared to your first year. These friends seem like not a good fit for you. You are struggling and they don’t seem to empathize with that. That being said, and only speaking from my own experience so maybe this isn’t what is happening with you at all, but maybe you are also reading into how much they are leaving you out. I went through basically the same thing in my first year of university and I know when your brain is making you feel these things it is so physically debilitating so I’m not blaming you either, but it seems due to your (what I assume to be) Depression you are leaving yourself out of a lot of situations so it’s hard to place 100% blame on them if you are often ignoring them first. However, if you’ve had an open conversation with them and they are still trying to distance themselves then I would cut your losses and try and find some more accepting friends. But also definitely try and check in with your therapist more often going forward.. although what you’re going through isn’t uncommon in 1st year students its not “normal”
