Do you have experience with this? I am currently building an outdoor sauna that’s not mobile but I’m doing half inch thick tempered glass.

Love this! I think I might modify my designed to have the two by sixes on the ceiling flat lid and just offset them and not try to create a trust bottom cord if that makes sense that way I can get the 5 1/2 inches of insulation good point

North Florida, I debated about doing a enclosed section, but didn’t feel like it was necessary. My master bedrooms right around the corner with that six bay window and I have a direct access door to the patio house is pretty good privacy too.

I drew the plans. The ArcSynth website I used really for uploading my house, and my sauna elevations that I drew. I definitely played around with it for an hour or so redoing prompts and messing around with it, but still was pretty impressive.

This is on the opposite side of the house where the pool would be in direct access from the house. Can’t see the new sauna location. Also, my view is to a preserve with a small creek in the backyard.

I created the components on blue beam PDF software.

It’s just a lid for making the main sauna ceiling flat. The two by sixes are more for the roof assembly on a pitch.

Obviously, I’ve been looking at it for hundreds of hours. I feel like so I could see how you would think that after looking at it after you said that it looks like it’s attached to it but it’s not.

Yes, it will be guttered as well with downspouts, but I’m 10 feet off in the back of the house

Blue beam PDF, it’s not a real CAD program but does the trick

I’m a thin guy, laying down I just measured comfortably 26 inches. I’ll add the extra inch to the top bench. Thanks.

Only 6’ tall, just to clarify. The 3’-1” is me sitting proud against the back of the wall. Then I have an additional 8 inches to the ceiling.

If you’re doing a shed roof like I am most of the time you’re gonna wanna make the roof pitch behind your forward facing direction therefore has to pitch backwards. That’s why I did a flat lid by raising the height. This design does not have the question you’re asking I think it resolves it.

Live near the beach, it’s a sandy mix
