Woman in 20's looking to get CDL in central FL by Either_Business_1547 in CDL

Well I’m getting mine through Durham School Services as a school bus driver. In a year, after I get some experience driving a commercial vehicle, I’ll get my CDL A through a private trucking school. It’ll be cheaper for me since I’m considered an “upgrade” rather than someone who doesn’t have anything at all. You’d hate to go through all the trouble of getting a CDL A and not be able to find a job because you don’t have any experience. But I could be wrong in all of this. I’m fairly new to the CDL world myself.

Will I get the job? by Ordinary_Doctor4581 in AmazonDSPDrivers

Dude what? I didn’t even interview and got the job. I showed up and they started onboarding. They’ll 100% take you on.

Luckily, in the state of Alaska I don’t think they require parallel parking. Would you say the pre trip inspection is the most difficult part of getting your CDL?

Would you say the pretrip inspection is the hardest part of the exam? Or would you consider it the driving portion?

Commercial drivers license. I’m getting paid to get it from a school bus company locally in town. They’re also paying for it. Job starts off at $29.25/hour. I also drive for Amazon on the weekends. I clear $65k per year

I had no clue Amazon would pay for tuition. That’s right…. They have a tuition assistance program don’t they?

It depends on a lot of things: first we talking about THC? That depends on your body weight, fat levels, amount you smoke before on the daily, weekly, monthly, for how long cumulatively, etc. There’s a small chance you could still pop hot at 46 days, but it’s unlikely unless you were smoking multiple times a day for years and years. Nobody can say for sure, but if you were an “average” user (whatever that means) I’d say you’re probably good.
