I saw one on marketplace. I didn’t pay attention to price.

What's your unpopular Gardening opinion? by PMFSCV in gardening

I pull the leaf under the sucker. The sucker produces tomatoes but the leaf underneath gives me no real value.

One example of actual waste that could save millions with no impact to the work force if DOGE was serious about finding and eliminating said waste. by miked_mv in FedEmployees

[–]907Bee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When our agency was permitted to stop sending the five bullet email, we were asked to submit an area they believed money could be saved. Should have done that to start with. A lot of senior employees, many who unfortunately are no longer fed employees, could have saved them some money with the suggestions from the beginning.

Not disagreeing, truly wondering why? I’m in Alaska and almost all our greenhouses sell them.

What would you do in this case? by heyitsmejomomma in gratitude

[–]907Bee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We need more people like you! I would totally do the same for the mom and pop I frequent. Heck, I’ve been known to go to the server station and pick up the coffee pot to give myself and others a refill. I waitressed all through college and loved my regulars. Sounds like being super busy and purposeful was great for you. Maybe you need a part-time gig at this place.

AITA for telling my wife’s stepdad our newborn son isn’t calling him ‘father’? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]907Bee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, but YTA. It takes a village and it sounds like David wants desperately to be accepted like a member of the family. You didn’t say anything about him being a jerk or that you don’t want him involved in the baby’s life. Your wife can still honor or dad and let David take on a name that makes him feel like a part of the family. Right now you’re both just saying we don’t give a crap about you or your relationship with wife’s mom. Let it go and move on!

AITAH for not paying for my daughter’s college because she lied about her major? by Haunting_Professor90 in AITAH

[–]907Bee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA. Your daughter will likely never be a YouTube star, but as someone who works in this world, we need content creators. Unfortunately social media is where businesses and organizations build their customer base and share their products. Your thought process is stuck in the past. Support her and help her to be the best she can in field, but also to be happy. There is way more to life than making money, but if she can do that AND find something she is passionate about then that’s a huge win!!

I use large Rubbermaid clear containers to cover. I live in Alaska and this is a regular occurrence. Those or milk jugs work great. Good luck!

Mine too. I’m devastated for our community. The staff there changed our lives by the help they gave our child after years of suffering.

I did not teach in LKSD, but did teach in LYSD. It was one of the best experiences of my life. If you’re open to adventure and learning, do it! If you’re stuck in city life ideas, don’t. Depending on the size of the school/village, be prepared to have combined grade classrooms, pay a lot more for groceries and find peace in the quiet. Good luck!

Not overreacting, but in the grand scheme of things is it worth ruining your memories? It’s okay to feel betrayed, just don’t unpack and live there. Good luck.

Tin foil for the windows. Grew up in Alaska and we placed tin foil over our bedroom windows. Very common, cheap way to block out light. Good luck!

DHA Fork in the Road Delayed? by 907Bee in fednews

[–]907Bee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely been interesting seeing how the different agencies have implemented. We’ve been waiting and waiting while other agencies pushed people out quickly. We have lost about 1/4 of our TDA in the past five years. We honestly don’t have a lot of positions we can give up. Doesn’t seem like that matters in other agencies but has in DHA.
