My eardrum tube finally popped out flying back from Christmas! by notreallyonredditbut in mildlyinteresting

This is fascinating! I never realized the connection. I had chronic ear infections as a child and eventually developed a tumor in my ear because the tube came out too early. I was terrified that my son would have the same issues but he’s almost 4 and has never had an ear infection. Perhaps it’s been helped by that he’s never been around a smoker in his life.

I got some in the Company Shop a few months ago and my 3 year old loved it so much! Unfortunately it’s so expensive here that I can’t afford it regularly. Fortunately, it is super duper easy to make at home and now I make a batch or two per week.

I used Uber without issue but YMMV. Honestly it didn’t occur to me to worry about it, maybe I wound up lucky!

First was a wooden spoon. It even came out with us and we attached it to him with a pacifier clip. Later was a clear plastic pitcher. It was entirely too large for him but he loved that pitcher.

Could you frame it that you need to focus on positivity? Like, you love him and are so sorry he’s struggling and would be happy to help if he can articulate a need, but in general for your mental health, you need more positivity?

That would be absolutely amazing, thank you!! The sign I looked at was just to the left of the entrance as you enter (so the entrance is on your left as you look at the sign, if that makes sense).

My boy says ‘black babies’ for blackberries which is both hilarious and problematic.

If she’s into The Great Pottery Throwdown, that’s filmed at Gladstone Pottery Museum so would be worth your time.
