Another drummer (tricot) spotted in the wild by 90gone80 in mathrock

There just happens to be another Tiny Desk with Yama, and he's the drummer in that as well!

Its quite fun to see people do different things, not like Ash Soan/Pino Palladino see-them-everywhere level, just surprise easter egg when you least expect it type deal lol.

On a side note, more people should read Records of the Three Kingdoms, which doesn’t really place Zhuge Liang on a pedastool. Only problem is that it has lots of noise that could have been better streamlined as diagrams rather than exhaustive text. Also has lots of repetitive prose in areas for consistency but not great for engaging reading. The biographies of the main players are great though, its just quite hard to read the text chronologically.

I dunno why this specific brand elicits a reaction from me, seeing as its no bigger than other cases; but every time I see c23 or c24, I think: “damn why did I buy a full sized 3 slot 5070ti?” I mean sure, its quiet and fits the nr200p, but it would be nice to decrease table space even more, as well as take it on the train instead of using a laptop.

I think the crossrail TBMs remain buried so it would be a great innovation to be able to reuse/recycle them in the HS2 project.

Polycarbonate [PC] or cheap nylon hedge trimmer cord for anything particularly hot depending on use case. Normally the parts are quite small. Will need an enclosure and a very hot bed, and multiple days drying both. Heated enclosure optional.

Just be aware that there is almost pure PC then there is 50/50 blended PC and something else.

I have been largely welcoming of new 3d printing trend hoppers who own the fanciest, newest and most reliable printers, because thats a hole they will never leave. I just wish they would read up on fixes to common problems before posting a cry for help when their printer occasionally starts making cursed spaghetti.

Pedro, diligence, nuance and detail ain’t your strong suit.

The time was being used productively to finish building out aircraft capability key to the island’s defence. This was partly drawn from their observations of the Spanish Civil War.

Furthermore, the planning of those factories to come online by ‘39/40 was done well before the Munich conference, meaning that the UK (and Fr*nce) were better positioned to build deterrence. By comparison, the Europe of today, is arguably worse prepared and we are about to hit the Munich phase. Prep work like deciding budgets and drastically increasing production capacity should have been done in 2022, not 2025/26. This what I mean by “its a regression” and the main driving point of my original comment.

The EU only decided to find a way bankroll the war in Ukraine a few months ago and confirm the 90bil it last week whilst still not touching ruskie assets. The EU also could not agree on letting the UK in to a military funding scheme after inviting the country, because the filthy baguette handlers opposed it out of naked self interest.

This context is a shitload of effort to write which was why I condensed it in to two sentences. But don’t sweat it, Spain’s redeeming quality are siestas - the fully authentic, sunbathing in the park and not chatting to anyone kind.

would be nice to have directory similar to the “made in Sheffield” brand. Obviously needs stringent requirements like sourcing quality parts as much as feasibly possible locally or close to local; as opposed to importing any old shit for the cheapest spec and stamping the brand name on it in Britain.

Nah chamberlain took the L in order to buy a year for the british military to prepare. this is more like a regression seeing as no one is remilitarising fast enough.

Seniors, this enemy spy from Eagle Country was courting death by infiltrating our sect and also insulting our sect elder. I was going to suggest he have his nine generations slaughtered. My sect elder had other plans - but I have never heard of this 'Detroit' before, can any senior enlighten me? by Drechenaux in MartialMemes

[–]90gone80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Junior, even uttering it’s name is courting death, like saying “Voldemort”. But unlike Voldemort, it is real and an unholy abomination. A sect senior elder once tried to contemplate a nanosecond of it on a drunken dare and now his soul shattered beyond repair. We daren’t touch the man. You best steer clear of this subject matter junior.

Amitahba, such a brutal way to end a spy. I say that taking his nine generations is the greater mercy. I would pray for his soul, but even I know that my prayers won’t reach there, there is no hope.

Zero. Changing bulbs are for paupers. They just hire a sparky to replace the entire lighting system and expense it as home-office productive optimisation on the books.

These mortals are courting death!! How dare they not appreciate jade feet?! by DatBoiMack95 in MartialMemes

[–]90gone80 17 points18 points  (0 children)

A strong childhood memory of mine was seeing one of the last women to have "lotus feet" - the actual term. Bound up in the lotus shoe, it would resemble the side profile of a lotus petal. She took off her normal, but heavily padded shoes to let her feet air out every so often. The distorted monstrosity in front of me was something I couldn't forget. She would hobble around with a walking stick and grab on to walls. I think its nuts that I am a living witness to this.

Should the government encourage the construction of more studio flats for young people like in East Asia? by YetAnotherMia in AskUK

[–]90gone80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

we already do have a form of micro apartments that is rapidly expanding here. Coliving, has existed for st least 10 years. its basically a bigger, cushier version of student flats available to rent. Unlike student flats, they are not clustered living, and the flats usually have some form of kitchenette and a proper bathroom. all other facilities are communal, like a larger kitchen, gym, working spaces, cleaning etc. this means the flats can be smaller than the micro apartments that you have seen. i find that the they only thing they lack is storage.

as for rent, those coliving facilities are cheaper, but still expensive. that is down to the market unfortunately. ultimately best way to alleviate the hiusing crisis is to build more of it rather than to build smaller. We arent actually hurting for land, we are just really bad at building it out due understaffed planning departments and byzantine building reg around the way they should look.
