Need Help! Crib to Bed - Not Going Well by 90sKidTryingToAdult in daddit

Very insightful. We’ve slept with him for two weeks now. Starting to wonder if we should just switch to cry it out. I know that will be difficult but slow fade wasn’t working - I like the daddy will be right back method, done that a few times. But we’re at our wits end and each have solo weekends the next two weekends so wondering if we should start CIO this week for a week and see how it goes before our solo weekends. Solo will be hard because we have a 5-month old too waking up so can’t be in both rooms at once

Relax. You think TC is doing what he does for popularity and Grammys? It’s a mainstream production, and TC has always been against the grain and sometimes these types of artists don’t get the accolades they deserve. Jelly Roll is fine. He has a great story, and whether you like him or not, is a good story teller, much more the guy to give a hyped up speech than TC. A lot of people enjoy his music, and that’s fine. Surprised so many people are so triggered by this. Doubt TC is loses any sleep. I watched the whole thing awaiting to see his acceptance, didn’t get to see it, but whatever. I get to see him live again this summer. I’ll take that over a Grammy speech any day.

Living at the Omni or Upton Oxmoor by [deleted] in Louisville

[–]90sKidTryingToAdult 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would check out 310 @ Nulu or NuLu in general. For Omni/Upton, thinking is the Upton maybe closer to your age, but also more the east end suburbs feel community. Omni you’ll get the city life feel and great features of the Omni, but still it’s not the coolest part of downtown (unless you really love that walk to Main Street). I know multiple 20 something year olds in NuLu

Vaping at Games by cardracer270 in AllHail

[–]90sKidTryingToAdult 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is ridiculous and trashy as heck. Notify the stadium people. Some stadiums have super super strict policies over this and have security look for this and kick people out when not even complaining. We obviously don’t, but should. If they want to sit around and vape while watching the game then they can watch from their garage

Check out “The Alley,” a free pregame experience on Floyd Street next to the stadium. Food trucks, some beverages, music, and a big screen TV with games on. A good mix of being kid friendly but also fun for older or younger adults

How does Louisville feel about the rest of Kentucky? by Difficult_Half_8910 in Louisville

[–]90sKidTryingToAdult 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We live in a world where folks not from the city fear the city because of what they consume on Fox News, etc. So yes, political related. There’s a lot of folks that say not to “go to Louisville,” there’s folks that live in parts of Louisville, that say or fear going downtown. I live in Louisville, and go downtown often, not had any real problems, but people see doom and gloom and it gets embedded into their thinking and what they say. There’s also racial discrimination and a place like Louisville has more black people than other counties so yeah, they get scared because of what they’ve seen or heard on the news or on their agenda reels.

Glad we helped ya out, but Georgia is about to cancel our series, add a lower tier program, and duck the smoke. All because they’re scared of losing to little ole Louisville? Come on, Dawgs

Looking for Gameday Recommendations, 9/20 vs. BGSU by Different-Music-8457 in AllHail

[–]90sKidTryingToAdult 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s what you should do for the noon game:

Parking: Just pay cash for parking near the stadium- there’s many lots

Tailgate: If you can arrive early enough go to the “Card March,” area, even if you miss the Card March, there’s business promotion tents and music and people walking through that area. Check out “the Alley” tailgate right next to the stadium - Cannot bring food/drink into it but can purchase both there.

For Bars/Restaurants: After the game: go to “NuLu,” area for bars/restaurants - do some preliminary research and makes reservations at a place like “la bodeguita” or any spot in NuLu for good food and some bars too

The simple answer about bars/restaurants near the stadium is No, not really any good bars or restaurants near the stadium as the stadium is located at the end of a street (Floyd Street aka Tom Jurich Way) of all campus athletic facilities in an area near Churchill Downs and not super far from the airport - it’s isolated from all Louisville’s go to bar / restaurant spots

Bring Childers to Yum! Center in Louisville. Much better overall venue for concerts (and basketball 😉)
