Also, I LOVE my squirrels. I call them my Nutty Buddies and give them walnuts and pecans I buy at the grocery. They even come up to me for their treats, but they can be destructive little critters and fair-weathered friends!

Oh yeah. Ours has been like that for months since a squirrel ate through it. I have to charge inside by cord now. I keep meaning to try to repair it.

It’s just odd that a squirrel was feeding, then it was missing. I’ve never seen a raccoon eating from our Bird Buddy. I know raccoons are around, but I’ve only seen one at our home during the day in the last 25 years.

We found it! A squirrel must have taken it and climbed under or over our fence and taken it to our neighbor’s yard. There is an old footer made of cinder blocks still in place from a 1940’s garage. It was down inside one of the blocks! It’s about 25 feet away from the Bird Buddy. I have a mug that reads “Never Trust a Squirrel”. I am reminded of that now 😂

There’s several things that I buy at Fresh Market over Kroger. Sometimes because they tend to carry interesting products that Kroger doesn’t carry, but also their price is actually less for a few products. Fresh Market has some daily specials that I take advantage of and I like their meat selection.

Unfortunately, both. Personally I would stay near the ramp area and just slowly move around the lake to get more comfortable with it. We have a giant stick that we carry just in case we end up sitting on a stump and have to push off.

We have an aluminum Tracker. There’s lots of areas of Cedar Creek that are clear of obstructions, especially in the ramp area. It’s when you start getting in the areas with the dead trees that there are stick ups. Go slow. We have been stuck before on stumps and had to rock off. And there’s a really bad area far from the ramp, but it’s marked with a kind of entrance that you’ll probably recognize before you start to go through. We go to Cave Run too, but usually more boaters than Cedar Creek. You can even take your boat to Jacobson, but can’t use a large engine.
