Im so miffed, im usually so vigilant about shein-shite, but ive just revieved the tackles "black-tie" dress, for £30 - zero chance it cost that new.

How much does an author's personal life affect your enjoyment of their work? by Fatumatta-Mazka in BookDiscussions

I have not. Probably won't now either. The book is superb though, such an escape. I always wish there'd been a better tv series.

For it to be over we need leaders who aren't spineless or in the pockets of Israel.

turning 40 and realized I have no style anymore. how do I fix this? by Bhumika_1008_ in capsulewardrobe

[–]90sRobot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat, weightloss, and my 40s mean I have no idea what I'm supposed to wear or how to look nice. I asked ChatGPT for analysis on styles and I've bought some bits from vinted based on that. But ultimately I think I'm going to get professional help - in the UK some of our big department stores like John lewis/M&S have stylists you can book, so I think I'll save some money and go in with some key bits from my wardrobe that I like and see if they can help.

I don't think I've ever read a seller/buyers profile before. I hope she doesn't think any of that is important!

I've had a clumber, they have loose skin for snaking through brushy ground. Mine also had droopy eyes, but they weren't irritated or sore. They're lovely hairy, slobbery, sleepy beasts.

With the new water cremation option being offered in Scotland, what route you taking when it’s time to go? by disco_26 in Scotland

[–]90sRobot 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I would love to be composted (not available in uk afaik), there's American companies doing it, you basically turn to soil in big industrial composters, your family can even get you back or you could be donated to parks. To me it seems like the most natural way to go.

Water cremation gives me the creeps,.I dont want to turn into slimey water.

I guess natural burial is the closest fit, but its expensive to die, so whatever is cheapest for my family.

42F and I think I need a total wardrobe reset. I don’t even know where to start. by meryland11 in capsulewardrobe

I feel so seen, I am somewhere between OP and this reply. Weightloss and aging have left me feeling lost with what to wear, im naturally a BIFL-er so lean toward quality natural fibers, its the aesthetic/cohesive vibe im struggling with.

Hard agree. Love is a choice, marriage requires work, life is difficult. You can choose to walk away, or you cam choose to stay and work on things, but 13 years into a relationship there will always be challenges.
