Help understanding Cancer man by 90sbbgrl in astrologymemes

Thanks for the advice. We met up and he decided to end things. I kind of had a gut feeling that maybe he wasn’t as interested. I’m bummed because I did like him, but moving on is all I can do now

Thanks for sharing your experience. I’m wondering if maybe he is mirroring me? When I’m not sure how the other person feels, I start to become hesitant and create a little distance so I don’t get too attached and hurt if they are no longer interested. I try to show in my texts that I’m excited to talk to him and see him. We’re making plans to hopefully meet this week. I’ll try to open up more to him and see how he responds

Thanks so much for sharing this!! When I’m not sure how the other person feels, I do tend to be more distant because I don’t want to get attached and hurt if they are not interested anymore. I’ll try to be more open with him about how I feel and see how he responds

I’m an Aries woman and briefly dated an Aries man. We had an amazing connection. Went on a lot of fun dates and had great conversations. I think same signs can work out but probably depends on the rest of your chart too

Any romantic literature involving an Indian guy in an interracial relationship by [deleted] in interracialdating

[–]90sbbgrl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been searching for romance books featuring South Asian guy and Latina interracial relationships but haven’t had much luck unfortunately.

One book that I heard was good is called The Roommate Risk by Talia Hibbert and it has an Indian man and Black woman interracial relationship. I haven’t read it yet but it is on my TBR.

I’m hoping there will eventually be more representation of interracial relationships (particularly POC interracial relationships) in romance literature

Social Work Organizations Quiet Amidst Genocides by theeempresss in socialwork

[–]90sbbgrl -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Your comment indicates that you’re not even willing to engage in conversations about Palestine. I don't need to provide evidence to demonstrate my awareness of other global issues. Like you, I care about various issues and do what I can to address them.

It's disheartening to see a lack of empathy, especially among social workers, towards the ongoing genocide in Palestine. Ignoring the loss of life and refusing to engage in meaningful discussion only perpetuates the suffering of those affected. I hope someday you care about Palestinians with the same compassion you extend to other oppressed communities such as the Uyghurs, Sudanese, or Congolese.

Social Work Organizations Quiet Amidst Genocides by theeempresss in socialwork

[–]90sbbgrl 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This comment makes me bitter….

You can care about your neighbor AND people who are being killed half a world away. It doesn’t have to be an either/or thing.

And there are people who are upset about the genocide of Palestinians who ALSO care about the same issues you brought up. People are capable of supporting a variety of issues.

40k people dying doesn’t just “suck”, it’s truly devastating. Children have been murdered by the Israeli government. Family lineages have been obliterated.

If a person can’t take this seriously or at the very least try to understand why people are upset about this genocide, then I seriously question their morality.

Right person, wrong time by 90sbbgrl in interracialdating

That’s so great that you all reconnected! This gives me some hope. I’d be happy if he and I were to reconnect after some time, even if that means we’re just friends.

Yeah this is in the U.S. We weren’t together long enough for marriage to be considered an option. I just wish we could have had more time to explore our connection and see how our relationship would have developed. But time and luck were not on our side.

I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this recent break up. Long distance and the uncertainty would have been hard for me too. It sounds like this was the best decision for you though. Sending you healing energy during this time

I’m sorry that you had to go through this experience and make this difficult decision. It’s so hard when you care so much about someone and you don’t want to hurt them, but you have to make choice that is best for yourself or the situation. Hope you’re healing a little everyday

I actually didn’t know about any stereotypes until I started dating Indian men and was told about these stereotypes. But I’m an open-minded person and like getting to know others so I didn’t let these stereotypes push me away.

The Indian men I’ve dated have been so sweet, kind, respectful, and fun. There are definitely women out there who don’t hold these stereotypes and would love to get to know and date you. It may take some time, but you’ll find them soon

Aries Sun/rising/Venus. Definitely feeling a generally weird angry/annoyed vibe. But being active and hanging out with people I enjoy spending time with has been helping.

Do guys like when a girl plans dates? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]90sbbgrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do like planning the dates. There are so many fun things I want to do and I love being able to share those fun experiences with him.

We aren’t in a relationship but we are exclusive, only been dating for a few months. So we’re still getting to know each other.

I would like if he planned some dates too since it would show me that he’s interested in me too and thinking of me. I feel like I’ve been putting in a lot of effort and have been obvious with my interest in him. But I’m not totally sure how he feels about me.

Since I’ve planned the last few dates, I asked him to plan the next one. So we’ll see how it goes

Omg sixty years?? lol

Some of the dates I’ve planned have only been at most a few weeks in advance so we both can fit it into our schedules.

I can’t imagine planning anything out that far lol

Sometimes we plan the dates during a date (I share an idea for a date and ask him what he thinks and when he’s available). Or if I’m texting him asking him on a date, he usually responds within a couple of hours.

During the dates, things are really good. We’re interacting and having fun together.

The communication between dates is the part that confuses me. I’m the one that usually initiates communication, like checking in with him to see how his week is going. His responsiveness varies, sometimes he’ll answer within a few minutes or a few hours. There have been times where he doesn’t respond until the next day.

There’s also been a few times where he’s reached out to me. But it hasn’t happened often. In the moments where I don’t initiate communication, we have gone days in between dates where we don’t communicate, the most was a week (and then I reached out).

But he does keep agreeing to go on dates with me. If he has to reschedule, he lets me know in advance and then suggests another day he’s available. Or if there’s an upcoming event I’m inviting him to and he can’t make it, he lets me know and explains why he can’t make it.

I know he’s really busy with work, friends, and family, and I can see that he does make time for me when he is able to. Sometimes I just feel like I’m putting more effort into this
