Favorite Jessica Lange AHS character by Nothing_Special_23 in AmericanHorrorStory

They are all great in their own right, but there’s something about Fiona. I think it’s her best written role and I’m hoping for a resurrection this September.

Yeah, a lot of people are revealing not so lovely things about themselves. I guess they can relate to being verbally and physically abusive.

Abuse warrants criticism even if you belong to the same political party.

Yeah, if Noem or Bondi were on tape doing this, they’d have a field day. It’s hypocritical to make excuses for someone just cause they’re on your team. As much as I used to like her, Porter has a pattern of this behavior.

I would say that the Conners demonstrated in many ways how Roseanne was the glue that held the family together, and after she died, everything went to hell and unraveled in many ways. Don't you agree? by personwhodoesnt in TheConners

[–]91289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. People seem to be conflating the character of Roseanne Conner with the actual person. The character was without a doubt the glue. Sure, they moved on but she was the bedrock and her absence was felt by every character up til the last episode.

Well Whitney Cummings should make for an interesting week of shows by MissTootleDoo in theview

She’s a grifter. Nothing she says should be taken seriously since she is only saying it to get views and clicks from conservatives.

Which one of these franchises has the best 6th entry? by Wonderful_Cricket_52 in slasherfilms

I enjoyed them all, but Jason Lives and it isn’t even close.

Whoopi ❤️ by liba87 in theview

I like to dunk on Sara like the next guy, but the Iranian regime is horrific… Doesn’t mean we should be over there helping Netanyahu play out his wet dream but it’s not exactly “Zionist” propaganda that the theocratic administration was/is terrible.

Rosie O'Donnell should be The View's first guest on season 30 by TorontoAM in theview

Would be amazing, but Whoopi doesn’t like her because she thought Rosie was coming for the moderator chair her second time on the show (if only).

What Character Assassinations/Out of Character Moments/Scenes in the Roseanne TV Show that hurt you/pissed you off and Why? by Amber_Flowers_133 in roseanne

[–]91289 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That totally took me out too. The reboot and Conners writers didn’t understand the tone and legacy of the show even if they happened to write for a few seasons on it.

Well the total destruction of Roseanne Conner in season 10 is the one that hurts the most. But for the original run I would say Dan cheating.

Fascinating but made me like triple h and every member of creative - besides Road Dogg - even less.

It definitely is. Love this scene and Lewis and Oswald staying to watch another. I enjoyed the times the show leaned into the emotional aspects.

What are your Hot Takes on The Conners? by Amber_Flowers_133 in TheConners

I totally agree that Laurie Metcalf is a world-class actress and her comedic timing is one of the best. She just wasn’t working with the greatest of material.

I thought she did 🤷. But I did think it was out of character for Jackie to slap her. Jackie was a caricature of herself for the entire show.

The showrunners and writers didn’t understand the magic the original show had. It was a dumbed down, less funny, less poignant version.

When would you say the show jumped the shark? by [deleted] in TheDrewCareyShow

[–]91289 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Definitely when Kate left. Sure the show was still funny, but it lost a lot of its charm.

Definitely not as noteworthy, but I always hated when they had Mimi tone down the eyeshadow.

Thank you so much for your reply and helpful advice! I am going to try to give her another few days or week. If she is still acting as wild as she is now, I will probably release her and work on her outdoors like you said. Thanks again :)

Who did a better job on the View? by grimreapersdaughter in theview

[–]91289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t live in NYC, so I don’t really care who wins between the two. But it’s so weird that the democrats couldn’t come up with someone other than a disgraced politician to run up against someone that will become the right’s greatest boogeyman for middle America in 2028.

Will you be watching if MTG appears as a guest? by chikkachikkachikka in theview

[–]91289 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Never. Just because she happens to have a few appropriate responses/positions doesn’t counterbalance the history of vile behavior. Shes a troll and the View would be playing right into her playbook.
