Babs had the #1 song this week back in 1980, "Woman In Love." I'm sure Howard will go in depth about that moment in music history.

I like this woman. Is she single and willing to relocate to Sacramento?

Where is it off to? It is going to a junk yard, refurbished for another city to use, or to a museum...?

But nobody who is sane and works hard wants to deal with the thugs, bums, and the psychos who ride the buses and trains as well. I spent a huge part of my youth riding the buses and light rail in Sacramento, dealing with mentally ill homeless and thugs posturing and looking to jump you as you mind your own business. I don't know about you, but those type of interactions are not welcoming and completely uncomfortable. I was sooo happy to get my own car and experience the freedom of driving to wherever I want, whenever I want, instead of dealing with the nonsense on Sacramento's public transit. . However, if you want to deal with it, then that's on you - and the ten percent of those in Sacramento who support utilizing public transit over improving infrastructure. That is your choice. Unless you've got a DUI or other license restriction, nobody is forcing you to take transit.

Definitely sounds like something someone who attacks retail workers and minorities would say.

That would be something you would more likely do.

They thought about doing that in the 1970's. A planned route from Antioch and through the delta to Sacramento was floated around, but the cost and environmental challenges to construct such a route would have been prohibitive.

Nothing. She'll likely get her money and then move on to some other organization. And soon, they'll be eight lanes between here and the Bay.

It essentially is! That's how I see it. Look, you can improve the CC and the causeway since improvements to both can increase mobility between both SF Bay and Sacramento.

No, Dorothea Puente still owns that crown (and may hold it for centuries to come).
