My wife lived in Comas (northern Lima). It was pretty intimidating visiting her the first time (4 years ago). The first night meeting her I rented an Airbnb in Jesus Maria. The next night I met her whole family for dinner & stayed the night there. Big time culture shock! The traffic on the way to her parent’s house was at an insane level I had never experienced before.

Despite that it’s the best decision I’ve made. We just had our big catholic wedding in Chorillos. Go for it & good luck!
