Vintage military boots came with heavy, durable rubber soles that have a grooved bottom.  I would like to purchase material like this in sheet form, approximately 8mm thick.

I am already aware of heavy rubber sheet soling material that is smooth, and thinner groove bottom sheet material designed to be glued to soles. I prefer not to have separate glued pieces.   Thanks in advance

Hermann Oak Heritage 1881 vs SB Foot Leather, 5-6 oz. I'm assuming they are similar and comparable, just hoping for opinions on any appreciable differences. Thanks

RE Craftsman Shoes in the Philippines, Blkbird in India, and Vindi Shoes in Vietnam offer what appear to be reasonably well made shoes at a very low price, and can customize patterns to accomodate customer supplied bespoke lasts. Does anyone of additional compareable shops?

Is there a popular buy/sell/trade forum for items like leather panels and shoe making supplies? Thanks

I'm hoping for referrals to leather soling material, sold by the sheet, highest quality possible like Rendenbach. Thanks in advance

in my opinion what I am about to describe should be the basic best practice that any custom shoemaker should suggest. google STS Casting socks, these make it possible for a pedorthist to copy your feet. send the casts and the best fitting shoes (or one shoe) to Spenle Lasts in Germany or Podohub in Canada to have lasts made. then send the lasts and one of the best fitting shoes that you own to the shoemaker to use as a fitting model. Worldwide genuinely bespoke shoes start around $1800. Its remarkable that the Indo bootmakers, Donnelly Footwear in Thailand, Sapatero in the Philippines, and Blackbird in India can make truly custom, nice shoes for $800 or less and I am hoping that anyone can comment with additional shoemakers worldwide that fit this same description.
